Fresh, varied, delicious and the price is right. Wonderful staff and atmosphere. On bus lines, fairly close to train and there seems to be parking. Highly recommend.

Great community oriented business. Great food and great people. Also, they've instituted safe practices for the quarantine.

I enjoy Indian food this restaurant does not disappoint. It has many selection but they are not overwhelming. You can choose how spicy you want you r food. They brought out extra rice and yogurt sauce at no charge. We went as a large group...and the food came out perfectly and very hot. Nothing we had was not perfectly prepared. We will go again and again.More

Authentic flavors and prepared with just the right level of heat as requested. Server was nice. Food was excellent. The place has a bit of a disheveled and worn look.

I love this restaurant, and like to bring out of town guests here. The food is excellent, including vegetarian options, and so is the service. At lunch time they have a buffet which is a wonderful way to try several different dishes. We also like...to share different dishes as an evening meal. I highly recommend Gandhi Mahal.More

I live by 3 Indian Food restaurants but will get in my car and drive 7 miles to Ghandi Mahal because it truly is the best Indian Food in Minneapolis/St. Paul. I get take out frequently here and have only dined in once as it...is rather loud inside. The reason I give it a 4 of 5 is because 3 different times when I ordered take out in the past year they added spice to my entree. When I place the order over the phone, I make sure to say "No spice" at least a couple of times so that they hear me. But to no avail they get it wrong, which is really frustrating when I get home, open the container, take a first bite, and then realize I cannot eat the rest of it. From now o, I will test it in the car before driving off. One other thing, food is pricey, but portions are good.More

Our family saw this restaurant on DDD and felt we had to try it. We love Indian food and were not disappointed. The service was outstanding and the food was beautifully served in small copper pots which kept it piping hot. The naan bread was...perfect as were the poppadums. We had the samosas which were delicious and not dried out as in many Indian restaurants. We sampled a number of dishes including the rogan josh, the chicken tiki Masala, a coconut chicken curry, and salmon cooked in the tandoori oven. The prices were much lower than most restaurants and overall we had a wonderful experience. The highlight was when the owner showed us his hydroponic garden in the basement where he grew many of the herbs that they use for cooking in the restaurant. We will definitely be back!!More

Went there for lunch buffet, average amount of choices, very good food. Tandoori chicken and curry chicken were my favorites as well as a chickpea side dish that I did not catch the name of. Would definitely go back again.

I used to love Gandhi Mahal and I still have great respect for the owner because of his commitment to the neighborhood and to using sustainable practices. However, the last few times I’ve been here I’ve been underwhelmed by the food on the lunch buffet....I normally love Chicken Tiki Masala but when I was here a couple of days ago, the chicken had so many bones in it, I could barely eat it. Other dishes seemed blander than many other Indian restaurants. I might have to move on from this local eastablishment in favor of other Indian restaurants elsewhere in the cities.More
