If you are anywhere near the Midtown Global Market, get thee to this patisserie! The head baker here came from NYC and her creations are magical! I go mostly for the macaroons, but anything here is amazing. Even if you don't want to eat any of these incredible masterpieces, just to walk by to gaze upon them in wonder.

This place is as close as you can get to Paris in Minnesota. I had a chocolate croissant for breakfast 3 days in a row. Walking distance from Abbott Northwestern. Located in the global market - a fun place to browse.

The Salty Tart sits in the middle of Global Market, a very large indoor market of everything in a fringe area south of downtown Minneapolis. However, the trip was worth the result. We ordered two 6" birthday cakes: one chocolate buttercream with a chocolate mousse filling and one vanilla buttercream with raspberries in the filling. They melted in you mouth.... More

Their pastries are to die for! They are located in the middle of everything, but definitely well worth checking out. We tried their famous coconut macaroons (incredible), tarts & cupcakes. Well worth the calories!

The bakery wasnt bad nor was it great. It's average. The pastries didn't wow me. Bread and everything looked burnt. Got the blood orange Danish. It looked burnt was it perfectly baked. The taste was blend. I also got the chocolate caramel cake and that cake was stiff. It wasn't dry but it crumble on me whenever I took a... More

We stopped at 5:30 on a Saturday evening. I bought 3 cupcakes, 2 that were prepackaged in the case. Three woman were working all ignored me until one finally rolled her eyes at the others and came to the counter. I said "hello" and asked if they were closing.thinking maybe that was the reason for the hostile attitude. She said... More

I love this place. For the great selection of treats. For the friendly staff. For the pop up pie store. And those pies. Oh, man. Absolutely incredible. I brought three for Thanksgiving and they were the hit of the affair. Chocolate cream, bourbon pecan, and caramel apple pies. If you're in the midtown global market, don't miss it. And if... More

This bakery is the real deal. Nothing pre-fab. All fresh and delicious. Have never been disappointed by anything we have tried here. Yummy macaroons (note: the coconut type, NOT the French "macarons"--at least not on my last visit), brioche, bread, cookies--all delicious! Try it--you will be happy you did.

I fell in love with the Lavender Shortbread Cookie...wish I had eaten it while I was there and I would have bought more!! The ham and cheese croissant was ok, a little mushy (too much cheese) for my taste, but the pastry crust was good.

The coconut macaroons were truly as delicious as they are made out to be on "Best Thing I Ever Ate". Beautiful pastries. Also delicious were the rhubarb chiffon tarts and some sort of decadent chocolate dessert. Very friendly staff as well.
