Amazing Mexican cuisine and superb selection of tequila. Try the taco selection. Steak and chicken are great. Did not try the tongue this time. I guess it's less risky than eating them in the DF (Distrito Federal or Mexico City). Atmosphere is fun and a good outdoor area when the weather is good. Enjoy!!

We ordered at least 12 items for a group of 4 and everything was wonderful. Just ensure you start with guacamole and end with a dessert. Also the various cocktails are a perfect starter and the sangria goes with everything. Very fun atmosphere and a great start to a memorable evening.

Our waiter was able to help me put together a vegan option, which was appreciated (black bean tostata) but the highlight of the meal was the chips and salsa. The salsa is not for the heat-adverse!

We ate here while working in Minneapolis. The margaritas were amazing, and the food was as well. It's a good spin on traditional Mexican food, with a little flare.

What's best at Barrio...it's hard to decide! The tacos are fantastic, the chips and salsa are divine, the tequila list is to die for and the craft beer is fantastic as well. The pork carnitas taco is good enough that I went back a second time on my trip just for it!

Little spend for small plates, but worth it. DELICIOUS! And many options if you are gluten free! Crab empanadas are one of my favorites. Can't go wrong with any of the drinks either!

Four of us had dinner on a Tuesday at 8 pm and was seated right away. I'm a mild to medium salsa eater and I thought the food was medium on the spice level though they had a pretty spicy salsa, if you are looking for it. It is a small plate restaurant so we took turns ordering different items... More

Group of six met here for after work and decided to go with the small plates. The server was very helpful in choosing the plates. But knowing we would share them it was a bit disconcerting to have to cut up many of the items so folks could have a bite. We managed - and the dishes were quite tasty.... More

We ordered several items and about half the food came right out, however two items were prepared incorrectly, and my chicken taco did not arrived. I flagged our server down 3 times, and we even order more food, every time he said it was coming. After waiting over 30 minutes, we told him to cancel the rest of the food... More

Barrio is a good option if you are looking for a quick bite and drink before a show or game. The location on Nicollet does a nice job, but the next time you are waiting for your international or budget flight check out the Barrio at the Humphrey International Terminal (terminal 2). It is far superior and a much more... More
