This is a breakfast restaurant similar to a Perkins or Village Inn. The food was good and I would return

After lunch, pie was ordered. Two out of two were just ok, mediocre. The banana cream slice was rather soupy, maybe sat too long? Staff was very nice, and service was fine. But pie? nope

Have had lunch several times and always had great service and great food! The only problem is that it is busy at lunch time and sometimes you might wait for 5 min... but great food is worth it!

About every time we go to Mankato visiting family we get a lunch at Baker Square. Service is always good and food always makes you comfortable. Then we usually leave with a pie to eat for desert later.

We like breakfasts here. I always have an omelette and eggs benedict. Both come with a side of potatoes, pancakes, fresh fruit, or toast. The food is consistently good and the service is efficient. The restaurant is usually busy, so that's a sign that it's a good place to eat.

This restaurant has won many national competitions with their pies. No wonder! They are scrumptious and gorgeous! You can get them by the slice or whole; eat them at the restaurant for dessert, or take them out. For special holidays, you can even preorder your favorite pie(s) to make sure they have it, on the phone or online, because they... More

While on our shopping trip to Mankato, we stopped into Baker's Square and were surprised by the line waiting to be seated. Then we found out why, we had been so busy, we didn't stop to remember it was free pie day. Of course the pie is free only if you order an entre, but what a deal. We put... More

This is a diner type restaurant - easy meals (I had crepes) and good service, along with a piece of inexpensive pie (free on Wednesdays). The meal was good, but nothing I can see myself craving in the future. The pie slice was huge, but it looked better than it tasted. This was an average restaurant.
