…if they invite you here for dinner, DO IT! Never having been to Mankato, we probably never would have found this place on our own, and we would have really missed out on an amazing dinner. Dining on the outdoor patio was a nice experience....We tried the rigatoni Bolognese, the maple glazed salmon, and the butter baked walleye, and they were all fantastic. Everyone sampled each other’s entrees and loved all three. We also enjoyed the butter cake for dessert. The service was fast and friendly too, with our server offering plenty of enthusiastic recommendations. Nolabelle is a place we’ll definitely be coming back to the next time we’re in town!More

We had dinner on a Sunday night after riding our bikes 45 miles from Faribault. We cleaned up and headed to Nolabelle, which was highly recommended by our B&B hostess. We started with a couple of delicious half-Caesar salads. For the main course, I had...steak & frites with mushrooms and grilled onions, and my husband had shrimp and grits. We were hungry. The steak was oh-so-tender and the onions and mushrooms were sweet. It was absolutely delicious, and I ate every bite. They used a special marinade. The shrimp and grits was spicy with little peppers, but not too spicy. The chef clearly paid close attention to the seasoning of this dish. As we finished, the owner came up and chatted with us. It was really pleasant! We finished off our meal by sharing a slice of butter cake. Just wow. Next time we're in Mankato, we'll make a point to visit Nolabelle again.More

I was passing through Mankato and had to check this place out based on the reviews. I made a reservation ahead of time. The food was delicious. I was there for brunch and had an omelette and a side of pain perdu (custard-soaked French toast)....Everything was absolutely delicious, including the potato fritter. The prices were very reasonable. Most of the service was excellent. My one complaint was that I found the person who seated me rude. I had a reservation for one. She asked me if I'd like to sit at the bar. I said I preferred a table, and she responded that there weren't any available for one. There was a small table right near us and several other tables that remained open during the entire time I was there. I don't think single diners should be forced to sit at the bar. Additionally, it's rude to ask a question about a preference and then just ignore the response. But again, the other two wait staff I dealt with were great, so this may have been an anomaly.More

Came here for dinner on a Sunday while on vacation from out of state. Started with the maple bacon starter and it was good. For my entrée I had the steak and frites with mushrooms. That was very good and tasty. Although really no room...for anything else, we kept seeing these delectable desserts come out for other customers and couldn't resist ordering. We did split a butter cake with strawberries and it may have been the best dessert I've ever had. It was that good. Server was attentive despite being busy and understaffed. The restaurant could use another server or two.More

Nolabelle is our go-to Friday night family date night (is that a thing?) We have made it an almost weekly tradition and it never disappoints. Upscale restaurant atmosphere that is minimal and not at all stuffy. Clean lines and bright, natural light throughout. Fresh, local...ingredients used in unique and delicious dishes make Nolabelle an easy favorite in Mankato. Having tried close to everything on the menu at least once, my favorites are as follows: Appetizers: Short Rib Egg Rolls. Possibly my favorite item in the menu. The fried rolls are served on a bed of broccoli apple slaw that makes the perfect balance, finished by dipping in a spicy Korean BBQ sauce. Others apps I recommend are the Buffalo Chicken street tacos, Buratta plate, and the roasted Brussels sprouts. Salads: Kale and Brussels Sprout salad is my favorite. The bacon vinaigrette makes it savory and I forget it's a salad. Delicious. Sandwiches and Mains: Turkey Avocado is a crowd pleaser. The juicy turkey and garlic aioli is tasty and comforting every time. Peach + Bacon Grilled Cheese is a spicy sweet handheld that is a perfect balance of spicy, tangy, and sweet. Spaghetti Carbonara or Rigatoni Bolognese if you're in the mood for pasta. Shrimp and Grits- the cheddar jalapeño grits are addicting. Or the Steak and Frites, be sure to add the onions and mushrooms. There are so many delightful dishes on the menu it is really hard to go wrong. Pair this with excellent service every time and all this equals my, hands down, favorite restaurant in town.More

I really wanted to love this restaurant because they have themed mimosa flights. (Really fun idea!) But the food and service were below average. The servers were friendly but slow. We watched as many plates were left under the lights for an extended time while...the servers chatted with each other or the cooks. My sandwich was cold and my friends Eggs Benedict had very little sauce. When we asked for more sauce we were told that there would be an extra charge (even though she asked only because they skimped to begin with,).More

Our group of 8 (with dogs!) was warmly welcomed in a great spot on the side patio, which was perfect so as not to disturb the other diners. I felt badly for our wonderful server (Dylan? I can't recall now) but he was a great...sport and thankfully loved rambunctious pups, so cool! It was a camping weekend for us and we like to eat out on Friday's to help the local economy wherever we go. It was a gorgeous evening and the food/drink were awesome! The table shared apps of goat cheese balls, chargrilled street corn, but sadly they were out of the short rib egg rolls :0( I had the lamb burger, but also tried the mac & cheese and steak & frites. Everything was delicious, expertly served and reasonable... so enjoyed this place and would highly recommend!More

We were greeted with smiles as the door was held open for us at Nolabelle. Our booth was comfortable. Great atmosphere. Clean floors. Friendly staff. Ask for Bridget who made our visit infinitely enjoyable. Food: Great! Candied bacon is a must as an appetizer. Large...shrimp. Generous portion of avocado in the sandwich. Maybe a bit too much grease on the bread, but I'm nitpicking. There is outside seating.More

We visited this restaurant for a Saturday brunch and I can honestly say that not only was this my favorite brunch EVER but it was probably one of my best dining experiences ever, too! The food was out of this world…so creative with lovely mixes...of flavors. I had the farmer’s hash…I literally wanted to lick my plate after! My granddaughter had the lemon ricotta pancakes…I think she did lick her plate! All seven of us raved about our food. The service was just excellent and we even were able to talk to the owner…so friendly and hospitable! We all highly recommend…you will love it.More

There is a lot to like about this place. It is bright and welcoming. The staff is extremely friendly, efficient and attentive. And the food is pretty good too. You might have read about the goat cheese curds. They are quite wonderful, the crispy pretzel...crust a perfect match for the creamy center. The apple and arugula salad was very fresh, as was the Caesar. My wife loved her spaghetti carbonara as much as the kind she had in Venice (it was that good). And the no flour dark chocolate cake was “death by chocolate” at its finest. The fresh brewed decaf was superior and the house brewed ice tea was as refreshing as could be. A few slight misses…both salads were really drenched in dressing. Next time we will ask for the dressing on the side. The pretzel breaded schnitzel was a great idea, but very much over cooked. The beignets were pretty heavy, but the blackberries and creme fresh were delicious. All in all, a pretty tasty meal. We very much look forward to our next visit.More

Let me start with the atmosphere walking in. First, it’s fresh, like a wonderful 5 star resort. Then the scents of the kitchen hit you. Not in an overpowering way, but in a subtle, delightful way to give you a hint that this place is...in a class all by itself in Mankato. The service is fantastic! Hospitable and interested in your day and experience in their restaurant, and they know they’re about to make it better. The food! Oh, the food! Delectable comes close to describing it! The blueberry chicken tacos are a must have. They’re amazing! My favorite sandwich (so far) is the Schnitzel Cubano. The pork is incredible and the flavors come together in a symphonic way! Oh, and get the fries, they’re worth it. If you have an opportunity to order the Mule Del Sur off the seasonal drink menu I highly recommend it as well. Light, refreshing, summery, inspiring. Make your reservation at Nolabelle today. You’ll be glad you did!More

I have been to Nolabelle several times and each time I go, I try something new and every single thing I’ve tried is fantastic. Mostly recently I tried the blueberry chicken tacos and they were so delicious. Their craft cocktails are also great, my favorite...being the coffee martini. If you’re debating, just go. You won’t regret it.More
