This is a long time family restaurant. It has a great breakfast. I eat there often. There is a full menu of breakfast for anytime of day. The noon and evening meals are also great. The staff does a great job of helping you feel welcome and they meet your needs. The food is tasty and reasonably priced.

This was my second visit to the Embers this year, and was hoping things had improved. Sadly, not so. My entree (liver & onions) was OK, had a bit of an off flavor like some rosemary was sprinkled on the flattop when it was fried. But all in all fairly good. The house salad was really poor! It was a... More

Stopped in for lunch on way home from a trip. Had their liver & onions, very good. The deep fried pickles were great. Very friendly waitress who paid attention to us. I would eat here again.

My family & I went to Santee Crossing Embers after a long day of driving. Our waitress, Jessica, was super friendly and ver accommodating. Our food was delicious as well! I highly recommend the cinnamon streusel coffee cake! Definitely check this place out!

Haven't been to Santee for about 6 months. Had a craving for pancakes on Sunday morning. Arrived about 8:15am (before the after-church-crowd) and the place had 5 tables occupied. One waitress on, the 2 owners cooking. Service was okay. Fork and knife on table were dirty & greasy, waitress said they had problems with the water softner that week. I... More

Had a great meal, stopped in for a quick lunch. had the reuben, the 1000 island was so good I asked about it. It, along with all the dressings, BBQ, and other sauces are made by the owners father by hand. The meal was great and priced very well. What a great place.

Good Rueben sandwich. Located right off highway. Breakfasts are good and specials are reasonably priced. Service is usually good. I've had better coffee.

Restaurant well known for its breakfast & dinner, now sadly lacking. Stopped there Friday and tried their all you can eat fish fry. Waitress said it was Alaskan Cod, but I suspect it was Pollock. More breading than fish, fairly greasy. (I have grease stains on my shirt to prove it) Baked potato was not warm enough to melt the... More

There is just no consistency when it comes to this place. Lunch is usually good but on the other hand sometimes nothing really tastes fresh. Last time I had the regular lunch deal that came with a bun that was moldy. Yuck. Then again the baking here is pretty good as is the actual meal. It just is not consistent.... More
