The Double R offers up a good menu selection including some very good nightly specials. The burgers are spot on. I love their soup and salad bar, there always seems to be the best soups. The salad bar also includes some sort of dessert. They...have a fun atmosphere and good service.More
We love to go to the double R for the football games. Of course we go other times also. Good food good prices. Very nice wait staff they smile and make you feel welcome. Small liquor store attached has just what you want.
Went here with three others and all of us thought the food was excellent and the service just as good. The Walleye was baked and my wife wife really enjoyed it and my brother had his Walleye deep fried and loved it. His wife had...a T Bone that was juicey, tender and flavorful. I had the ribs and they were tender, juicy and possibly the best I've ever had. They also had green chili soup-fabulous! Oh, and all portions were large and French fries crispy, not greasy and unsalted-just like I requested.
The waitress was very friendly, polite and timely with drink refills. Also, the restuarant was quiet, clean and had lots of great pictures and art depicting classic cars. Next time in this area we are going to eat here again.More
We enjoy this small town sports bar very much. The specials are reasonably priced.. The atmosphere is friendly and very clean and tidy. We especially enjoy watching the football games there. Lots of televisions and good drink and food specials.
Stopped by here on a motorcycle run recently. The parking is via the street and the time of evening we visited there were no issues. The place has ample seating at both the bar and at a table. Many daily specials to choose from including...drink specials. I ordered their equivalent of a Philly Cheese Steak. It was very meaty and had good flavor. They put it on a hoagie bun which isn't a good idea with juicy beef and mushrooms as the bun nearly disintegrated while sitting on the plate. We took advantage of their 2/$5 domestic beer special. The beer wasn't overly cold which was kind of disappointing. There were about 6 choices of IPAs on tap, again disappointing as you would think a place that has this feel would offer a wide range of taps. There are plenty of TVs on all playing something a little different. The service wasn't overly great. Stop by and have a bite here, it's worth a least one visit.More
