We have been here 3 or 4 times & the food has been great every time, the waiters have been friendly & we are planning on going back

Went here on a date night with my wife. Ordered the Rachel sandwich and the Hoarder. Meats were perfectly cooked. Sandwiches were good but not great. What irked me was the 4% fee added onto the meal without being informed of the charge when handing...the server the credit card. The sandwiches are already somewhat expensive ($16 for the Hoarder) then to add another 4% onto the top simply for the convenience of using the card? It was not busy on a Saturday evening and now I know why. Not sure I would try again because of the service and the service fees.More

What can you say? Comfort food galore. Stuffed cabbage rolls? Yes please! (I think it was a special/certain night). Been there several times - always good.

I was in the mood for a Philly cheese steak and Mort's delivered. The meat was great with no fat at all and a fresh and tasty bun. Totally hit the spot.

One of my favorite deli type restaurants but this time I did not enjoy my food. I ordered a bowl of the Hot Cabbage Beef Borscht. It was very very salty. I did not enjoy it. Also ordered a side of bread. It was not...fresh and also could not eat it. They charged for the bread and it was nothing special considering it is made in house. Disappointed stop. Will stick to my Matzo Ball Soup next time. Always a favorite of mine. Server o.k. Also, be aware, there is a 3.95% charge on all credit card transactions. Would have been nice to have been told before the server charged our card incase we wanted to use cash.More

I was one of four males and Each person ordered different meals.. I definitely was impressed with the service and the quality of food served....My mistake the last time I ate here was coming as a single and my experience is singles do not always...get waited on as singles as fast as doubles. I was a waiter in my younger years and its know secret some singles do not tip well or at all and I also learned as a waiter its service that counts..A great attitude makes the difference in getting good tips.More

Stopped in for lunch and it was fantastic. Exceeded my expectations. Hot roast beef with medium rare and tender meat. Great gravy and mashed potatoes. Too many vegetables. Wonderful chocolate cake for desert. A little dry but whipped cream helped.

I visited here on a Sunday with 3 companions. We each ordered something different from the breakfast menu. I ordered perogies with bacon in a butter sauce. There were a dozen marble sized potato perogies with some very good crispy bacon. I recommend the optional...peppers One at our table ordered the European style pancakes with sour cream and strawberry sauce along with several sausage patties. He didn't care much for the pancakes which were like crepes. Another person ordered the three latkes with applesauce. She liked them. The potatoes seemed to be riced and them turned in to latkes. Service was good. There were only eight of us in the restaurant around 10:30 am.More

We went to Mort’s for dinner and I had the fish and chips, the server informed me that it was all you can eat. The first serving of fish was 3 modest size pieces of cod that were hand dipped and freshly prepared. The batter...was a little thick for my liking but the fish was moist and flaky as expected from a fried fish dinner. That is where it all changed. I finished the first three pieces and the server asked if I would like some more fish or fries and I asked for 2 more pieces of fish. After a few minutes I was presented with two deep fried (obviously previously frozen) something resembling fish sticks from a dollar store as the “all you can eat” remainder of my meal. This is a sorry excuse for something that should be a continuation of the same quality as the first serving. Unfortunately for Mort’s we will not be back for a long time; if ever; as consistent quality is something I value when I choose a restaurant. The management needs to rethink their all you can eat, either keep the quality the same or remove the option. Very bad form on their part.More
