Very busy breakfast place, we got a table immediately but shortly after we sat down there was a line out the door. Solid breakfast food, nothing amazing but tasty, large portions, and fairly inexpensive. Breakfast potatoes were good, biscuit gravy was a little cold. Service was friendly and quick. Do keep in mind they only take cash and check here,... More

This place came recommended by another restraint in town as they did serve breakfast. It is not a place you might stop at if driving by as it is a small store front very nondescript. the food was great, the selection for breakfast was pretty average but the food was tasty, hash browns were top notch and the 3 kinds... We have breakfast here every time we are in town. Pancakes bigger then your plate. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. Because the food is always good and plenty of it. You could fish all day on breakfast. I did. Mmmmm

: The place is open for breakfast and lunch. It is truly a down-home place with a counter and a few booths and tables. The décor is hard to describe, lots of signs with cute sayings, you can imagine the place. We have had breakfast here a few times. What the food may be missing in quality, it makes up... More

Nice little breakfast place we stopped at on our way out of Ely, MN. This is a scratch kitchen so food to table takes a little longer. I got the feeling a lot of locals eat there. We got there around 8 a.m. and there was a wait, but not a long one. Tables were crowded but passable walking sideways... More

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast on the recommendation of a local canoe trip outfitter. We were new to the area and didn’t have a clue on where to go for breakfast. We aren’t into fancy places. We just wanted to find a place with your standard breakfast fare. It must have been a popular place as there... More

They have awesome home cooked food here. We had the best breakfast. Service was wonderful too. The waitress said they sometimes have people waiting on the sidewalk to get in.

We stopped in on our way to some attractions in the area. Small place but they manage to seat plenty. It's cash only so be ready for that. Huge portions of classic cafe American breakfast. The waitresses were very friendly and the food arrived quickly. After seeing the pancakes my wife asked for just one instead of the two that... More

They give you huge portions of exactly what you want for food. Pretty cheap but cash only. They keep the coffee flowing.

I stop by here in the morning right before entering the BWCA. Huge full plates with pancakes and hashbrowns overhanging the edges. Waitress that calls you "hon" quickly seats you and warns you about the sizes of the breakfast fare. The pancakes are monstrous, i ordered a plate of 2 of them for my two kids (10 and 12 ages)...
