The food si great! It probably takes only 10 minutes to get your food. The fries and burgers are perfect.

i have driven by the Lions Tap since the mid 70's but never stopped in to eat. why? i either had to be somewhere or i was on my way in from work so it never fit my schedule. but i went by it on...2/22/20 so i said this is the time! i parked in their new lot as some road work was done out front on hwy 212, but they have another lot across the street if need be. i sat at the counter, looked at the menu on the wall & decided that a Double California was my meal. i ordered it up, the server got it back to me in maybe 12-15 minutes and this was at 11:40 as the noon rush was starting. ahhh, fresh tomato, lettuce, a slice of cheese with 3 pickles & it was held together with 3 wood skewers it was so high! i squashed it down a bit, bit it and i was very happy with the taste. my 1919 root beer washed it down along with fries and i was full & happy when i finished it. nothing left for any hyenas! the only bad part was it was so juicy that the bottom bun was falling apart from the juies flowing from the meat. i gues next time i'll have to eat faster! later !More
Around the corner location with plenty of parking. Always delicious cheeseburgers for the family! A great option for takeout as well!
All that they make are great burgers and frys! Have been coming here for years. Highly recommend it!
World famous hamburgers and cheeseburgers! Great place and great value! The California cheese burgers are fantastic and the French fries are great.
Took my cousin from Arizona always a top 5 burger in Minnesota cheeseburger fries and 1919 root beer what could be better
If you are only going to do one thing, do it well. Great burgers at a great price. The fries and old fashioned root beer are also excellent.
Trying to find the best burger in the area is always hard. People have their places and the perfect place is always difficult. Interesting enough, great burger… service eh? A group of friends and I were looking for a place. We decided to go to...the Lion’s Tap since a couple people recommended it as a “hole in the wall” specialty. The reviews looked great and it was only a couple miles from where we were. Arriving the parking lot had a lot of people coming and going with a huge (new) parking lot full of cars in the middle of nowhere. Seeing this, you know that it is a local favorite since the road construction would have kept people away. Getting in was a little confusing as you do not know where the host is. My friend was just grabbing a table with a waitress following us. We all sat down and had a look around. I loved the canvas over the fireplace. A friend pointed out nostalgic menu on the wall with the logo. The tables and chairs are a little warn, so you know they have survived their years. Before I start reviewing the food, our server was new, so I wanted to start with that since we found out that part of our issues were the server and part was the kitchen. We order drinks… everything is going well. The server was fast and she had everything correct. We were great! We order food, and over 50% of our order was incorrect. One orders a mushroom swiss as a single… it arrives as a double. Another orders a double cheeseburger with friend onions… no onions. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with raw onions and a side of mayo, I get no onions and it took forever to get the mayo (we had to ask three times). We each mentioned the errors and I mentioned my raw onions twice and she did not hear us at all. With all that mess, the worst was that my friends’ daughter ordered a cheeseburger but it arrived with onions. She hates onions so that was sent back. It arrived a second time with onions. This time the server showed us that she did not have onions on the burger listed on the ticket. The third time must be a charm as everyone else is almost done eating. She takes two bites out of the burger and in the middle a single large onion chunk almost taunting her. What if someone was allergic? At this point my friend was mad and decided to chase down a manager. As everyone is done eating, her burger arrives… and correct! Well we are here for the food, it was great although never really corrected. This was maybe the best burger ever. The fries were something that I was shocked about, they were not all that great. When you have the best burger, you need to season your fries. They have awesome burgers, make a signature fries seasoning. For example, burger places are adding garlic or chives to give a pairing to match the burger. Next time I would not get fries. The sign of a perfect server is the never empty glass. $3 for a fountain soda, I should never have to ask for a refill (or even wait for it) but that took a while. Our check was correct, but that was shocking. One burger being sent back 3 times should not be on the check; we joked about that as she was eating as we were ready to leave. Still gave a nice 20% tip and got out. While I was going to rate it at 2 stars, I still loved the burger (even though I did not get the one I ordered) so I rated it at 3 stars. I recommend skipping the fries though. Oh and fries are the only thing on the vegan menu!More
Lions Tap is a quaint place featuring a darn good burger and that's the end of the story. Don't invite your vegetarian or cosmopolitan friends here - there's no tofu, plant products, etc. This place features great ground beef burgers with a hearty serving of...fries. My suggestions are the bacon cheeseburger or the mushroom swiss. It's a tiny restaurant, but the service is fast, so it's pretty easy to get a table. Take out service is efficient too. Highly recommended to experience an old fashioned burger joint in the present.More
This could easily be the worst burger I have ever had. There is nothing special about it, except that they are overcooked and have nothing extra. The other reviews I have seen that agree with mine, sum it up well. Short pours on beer, pathetic...fries, and even worse burgers.More
