Nice casual place in a strip mall. I was staying at a nearby hotel waiting for a flight from MSP Airport the next morning and my wife and I wanted sushi for dinner. I went on-line and found Hiko which was only 3 miles away and had good reviews. We arrived and sat at the sushi bar. Glad we did. The sushi chef was very personalble and we got to watch him prepare many beautiful presentations for diners at the 20 or so tables in the place. We placed our order and when the nigiri and rolls we ordered arrived, wow, the fish was fresh. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. You won't be disappointed.

I am BLOWN AWAY! I am a sushi addict and have tried many places in and around the twin cities for sushi. This is by far, the best I have had. The quality of the fish, the hold of the rice, and the tightness of the wrapping make for incredibly delicious and flavorful sushi! I highly recommend this for anyone who wants high quality sushi for a reasonable price. Great job guys, you have become my go to sushi joint!

Excellent and friendly service from the owner. Sushis were great, nice selection, their Uni (sea urchins) are to die for! Serves alcohol, which is a great plus!

The food has no taste! They do not follow requests or comments when you place an order for delivery. I have food allergies and stated it many times and they totally ignored my requests. Nor did they offer a reasonable remedy to my complaint when I called. I would NOT recommend to go to eat here!

Came here because of the good reviews. Been here twice and both times we were not impressed. It explains why there was only one other table occupied the whole time we were eating.
The last time we were here, shrimp and rice were dry, and worse, they swept the floor with dust blowing up near us while we ate. This, in front of the owner, who did not say anything.

The atmosphere was dark and uncomfortable. The service was almost rude. Not friendly at all. We felt rushed. The food lacked flavor and freshness. The sushi wasn’t very appetizing. Our main dishes were very bland. The appetizer of calamari was frozen, not fresh and very small portion. Very dissatisfied. Will not return.

Visited on a Friday evening and don't understand the rave reviews here. I enjoy Asian and Japanese food and overall acceptable but nothing out of the ordinary for its type. we all had entrees off the menu, not sushi. May have been an off night.

This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. Whenever I have out of town guests, we go to Hiko. My guests always enjoy the food and the personal attention from the owners.

Went for lunch today and the sushi is pretty good apparently...I don't eat it but my girls do. I enjoyed their rock shrimp. The owners are always there and are nice. We go pretty often.

I discover this place browsing for a restaurant not far from my hotel.
Seating at the bar, the chef made the whole food in front of me. Fresh, delicious, and the oysters were to die for.

I took some business colleagues here who were visiting from Manila and Sweden - they were craving fresh fish and sushi. It was an excellent experience for them to eat at a small local restaurant that was fantastic! The fish was very fresh, food presentation beautiful and the owner was very friendly. They were very impressed. I'll go back here again.

My wife and I were staying in Bloomington and drove to Hiko Sushi for dinner. We ordered some tempura, the Hiko Roll, and some edamame. It was just the right amount for the two of us. The edimime portion was bigger than most I've recieved, tempura was crispy, and the Hiko roll was excellent (filling).

We were looking for a good meal close to our hotel in Eagan. Hiko Sushi was a great find! While the emphasis is on sushi and Japanese, the restaurant offers a wide range of Asian dishes. We appreciated the attention and care of the owner/manager - that feeling of quality being offered by a family that cares about the food and service his guests will enjoy. If we lived in the area we'd be regulars, I know!
