Good pizza. Being from new Haven I consider myself a Hardcore pizza snob but I don't doubt this is the best pizza in Duluth. Sauce was good and generous with toppings however I did notice the toppings tend to slide off the pizza crust.

We went to the Lakeside Sammy's pizza and had the "House Special Pizza". The crust was a real Italian one. There were tons of toppings and no shortage of cheese. Loved it!

We have been eating Sammy's Pizza since we were in high school. It was in Superior then and closed a few years ago but is in the process of reopening. This time, it wasn't so good. We ordered half Cheeseburger, half pepperoni and it just wasn't tasty.

We had a delicious lunch here. Ordered a simple five cheese pizza and it was amazing. Service was fast and friendly.

We've eaten at Sammy's throughout MN and ND for over 40 years. The food quality is always consistent and delicious. This restaurant looks run down and really needs a facelift.

If you enjoy thin crust pizza with pinched edges, a family sauce and nice toppings.....,,,!??? You'll get when you question yourself for eating it 3 days in a row. Not all Sammys are the same but the downtown Duluth location is top notch with Finnish Vinny leading the parade.

We stopped in on a rainy Saturday night around 8 p.m. The dining room was very quiet so we had excellent service. The kitchen was busy fulfilling take out or delivery orders but our order arrived quickly. The best menu item we tried was the garlic cheese bread. We ordered a whole and we gobbled it up. We ordered a... More

I've been a patron of Sammy's since high school, when we would sit in the back booths and share pizza if we could find some change! it is still my top choice for pizza. The crust is homemade, unlike many of the chain pizzas, the sauce is excellent, and the toppings generous. I love the thin crust.

I had the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza delivered to my hotel room and thought the pizza was delicious. There was the perfect amount of sauce on the pizza that it didn't taste dry. The delivery person was very friendly. I did have an issue with the website and calling in my order as I was unaware of the variety of... More

Homemade sauce with our secret mix of seasonings. Dough that's made fresh every morning. Specialty meats and real mozzarella cheese. The sounds of crisp crust being cut into perfectly sized squares. That's what you'll find in the kitchen at Sammy's Pizza & Restaurant in Downtown Duluth.
