Would dinner one and it was so very flavorful.then had breakfast the next morning it was the best egg Benedict ever had! And they serve kombucha on tap everyone should have a bottle of kombucha after and yell. Hands down five stars 😋

Excellent curry!

I came here for lunch and had the Thai curry with chicken. I felt like $24 was a little much to spend on a chicken curry dish, but the waitress assured me that it was excellent and she wasn’t wrong. This might may have been the best curry I’ve ever had in my life. Full of perfectly cooked vegetables, and a delicious sauce with just the route right amount of seasoning. The rice was perfectly cooked as well and was not at all sticky. It was a generously sized serving and I would definitely order it again. Our service was very good as well.

Great food with local ambiance

When I arrived, I was third in line at the hostess's desk, around 6:00 on a Saturday night. All shaded tables outside were seated while there were empty tables everywhere else and I waited for my turn with the hostess for at least five minutes. I know when I leave NYC, everything slows down and do I leaned into the laid back audience if the place, which was great. I scored an indoor table in the back corner and sat right next to a dead fly stuck in the screen of one of the windows. Water and waiter came quickly enough and after perusing the menu, I ordered the dish I'd selected when I did my research... but they "just ran out," so I got myself a cheese burger. The meal arrived quickly and I dug in. I was thrilled the quality ingredients and loved that when I asked for hot sauce, they brought me Sriracha and another lesser known brand - the latter was excellent!. The fries were crispy and satisfying and I really appreciated the plentiful fresh veggies that went on the burger. The burger hit the spot. As I was leaving, I snapped a photo of the view from the outdoor table where I wish I could've sat.

Burnt potatoes

We stopped for brunch last saturday about 1130. I ordered eggs good, but home fries were served burnt with burnt veggies as well. The coffee is from airpots( luke warm ick). I would not recommend this place for brunch.

Unbelievably rude

If you don't mind get sneered at by a pretentious little snot for making a simple cooking request, then this is the place for you! I simply asked if my bacon could be well done, and boy, you would have thought I was making a faux pas in front of the queen of England. Apparently this place must have chefs and owners that cooked at Windsor castle and aren't we all just blessed to be graced by their magnanimous presence. Undeterred, we ate our meals, which after that scolding, didn't really taste as well as their prices demanded. Forget about getting a refill of your water, after she just looked at me and gave a slight head tilt, so I know she understood my request, never saw her again. But, after that display, I think we're the lucky ones. Paid our exorbitant bill and went on our way. We won't be back and we certainly could not recommend this place to any of our friends or relatives that visit us at our summer home. Follow up: When my husband called to speak with someone about it because he was still mad 3 hours later, not sure who he spoke with, but she told him she was the owner. Something tells me he didn't speak with the owner because the female (he said she sounded really young) told him that our waitress was just having a bad day. 1. You don't get to have bad days in the service industry. Suck it up and do your job. We paid for the overall experience, not just the food. 2. Go home if you can't put your personal issues away for a few hours. Businesses can't afford to turn off customers after what they've been through this past year. You just cost this owner customers, hope it was worth it.

The good and the not so good

Had lunch at At Sara's Table today with friends and ordered two appetizers instead of an entree. The smoked salmon and cheese plate was very well presented--a nice portion of salmon with crostini, cheese slices, beetroot, and mini gherkins. But the cup of clam chowder I ordered was overpriced ($5.50, what was I thinking?), thin, and very ordinary. I think I found a couple of pieces of clam and very few vegetables. It would have been overpriced at $3.50. Surely this restaurant can do better.

I would have given it 4-5 stars but the service and prices are crappy

First the service: If there is a long wait, and a significant number of people standing outside to get in, tables used by previous customers should quickly be cleaned off to seat waiting customers. We sat across a tale that had not been cleared/bussed, the whole time we were there! And there was a 45 min-1 hour wait going on for people waiting to be seated! The waitress we had took at LEAST 7 minutes to come and get us started with beverages, and when we finally did get our coffee, she only gave us two sugar packets and one cream to share. I asked for more sugar packets and she totally forgot about us. I had to go get them myself! She was very hesitant about serving, it seemed. The food was very good but the prices were a little steep. It should not cost $70 for 2 people, for breakfast!! We had omelets and pancakes, which were very good, but our side of bacon was over five dollars! That is OUTRAGEOUSLY PRICED. To have expensive food, AND poor service, is unacceptable. You can't do both...please pick one, and not the bad service @ those prices!

Poor service, food was decent

The service or lack there of overshadows whether or not the food was ok. I won't go back. Watched a waiter drop off food at a table and forgot silverware as well as forgot part of order. Rather than go get silverware he did a bunch of other things before making it back with silverware and still managed to forget part of their order.

Great Options for everyone

They do a wonderful job whether it’s vegan, gluten free, or anything goes. Excellent coffee, teas, as well as wine, beer, and cocktails. We love that much of the food is locally sourced and organic.

Great food and service

Wait time was told 20-minutes and it was exactly 20-min. I appreciated them giving accurate wait times (even as it got longer after us). The menu is limited (about 5-10 dishes per breakfast and same lunch/dinner). We were impressed with the quality of the food. You can tell it’s all fresh and handmade. They have a nice coffee menu with mochas and lattes along with a wine and cocktail menu. Also vegan and gluten free options are available here as well. Nice patio area with some tables inside and out with views of Lake Superior.

Paella, curry and bird talk

After a full day of bird watching, we landed At Sara’s Table for dinner on a Saturday night. My husband ordered a beautiful paella and I had a fantastic vegetable curry. Wine and non-alcoholic beverage choices were fun and delicious. One of the best things about this place is that the Duluth locals eat here, too. Local birdwatchers Frank and Kate saw us with our camera and bird book, helped us ID some of our photos, and we had a nice chat.

Don't Order the Gluten Free Pancakes

I ordered the gluten-free pancakes. At $11.00 I expected them to be a decent size and quantity. When they arrive there was (3) - 4" round pancakes on my plate. If you don't know what size that is off the top of your head, its barely larger than the circumference of a coffee mug. I almost asked the server if it was a joke. They were also the texture of cardboard. I have tried a lot of gluten-free items at restaurants and at home and this was by far the worst pancakes as far as quality, price and quantity I have ever had. You should really be ashamed to even offer this on your menu.

Biscuits & Gravy, Oh My!!!

My new favorite place! Off street parking was a plus. We parked near the garden that used for this restaurant. We actually seen a chef cutting herbs out there. We were seated promptly and when I looked around I knew this was a very clean and positive friendly vibe. Tall ceilings, bookcases lined the wall with real books in all genres. I had a specialty drink, the Turtle Ecstasy espresso & hubby has a real cappuccino, so I made him drink it with his pinky up. The food is amazing. I Had the biscuits and chorizo gravy. The homemade biscuits or some thing special and that gravy is so creamy and delicious I will be back for that. It was so savory you could eat it for dinner too. Hubby had the Corned Beef Hash with scrambled eggs atop. Both meals had ahhhhhhmazing flavor and were very healthy portions. The dessert cabinet was special. Lots to choose from as far as croissants, pies, cookies, cupcakes.

Fork to Table Foodie Fans

We had a quick family visit in Duluth and made time to have lunch “At Sara’s Table”. They gave us the option for indoor or outdoor seating. It was a beautiful warm sunny Tuesday and perfect for outdoor seating. The whole menu was exceptionally appealing however, I had my mind made up for the “three p salad” Absolutely Delicious. I will always go for a dynamic salad so this was it for me. I know everyone enjoyed their choices here … but for me, I’d order that salad every time. I was so excited to eat it, I forgot to take a photo of it. I snapped a photo of our cheerful server with a tray full of delicious selections on her way to another soon to be happy table of patrons, I’m sure. :) Thank You Sara’s Table Team for your all around AWESOMENESS :)

Charming place with great food

We loved this place. Went for breakfast and started with a seasonal peppermint mocha latte. Delicious! Followed it with wild rice sausage Eggs Benedict, which was very flavorful and served with fresh fruit. The decor is interesting with lots of bookshelves and books. The service was fantastic, too. Will definitely go back.
