I've given this restaurant plenty of opportunity for a decent Italian meal and they've failed every time. Our food has come out cold, undercooked and overcooked. When sending the food back the cooks glared at our table like we did offended them. Yikes! Now my husband and I are both Italian and will visit Va Bene next to Fitgers next... More

Had lunch on the patio. Tried the 3-3-3 special. Food was excellent, service was great. The price was very affordable. We will stop again.

We had dinner @ BELISIOS during TALL SHIPS event. Thus it was probably busier than usual mid week. We sat indoors in the large dining room. We shared a VERY large salad. Presented on a large plate and we served ourselves. Focaccia Bread was served. A bit bland we thought, with the usual olive oil for dipping. My husband enjoyed... More

A friend & I were in the area attending the Tall Ships Festival, and decided to wander over to the Canal Park shops area after checking out he El Galeon ship. It had been raining, so people were not spending as much time outside as normal. We were walking by Belliso's and noticed there were a few tables open on... More

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us at Bellisio's. It was a fun weekend in the canal, but a busy one. We are happy that you were able to enjoy your time with us on our patio with wine and starters...the Eggplant Rolotini is one of our favorites. We hope to have you back soon.... More

We went there for an evening meal at the closing of the Tall Ships weekend so things were a little quieter. Got a great table on the patio with excellent service. My wife and I have simpler tastes and just had pasta with a spicy sauce. This is our measure of the food at an Italian restaurant. Food was excellent... More

Escaping the throngs of the Tall Ships, we settled into Bellisio's with no wait because we took a free high top in the bar. What a great idea! Not only did we avoid a 15 min wait, the bar offers the same lunch menu in a warm cozy setting. Would recommend. We had the Pedroncelli Pinot Noir and were very... More

Food and wine very good. Servers (we went twice during our stay) were well knowledgeable and gave great wine suggestions. Service was slow but that could be because of the sheer volume of people in town.

White tablecloth, low light, quiet atmosphere make for a warm, attractive setting. Friendly, attentive waitstaff. Great menu of Italian standards and a few potentially interesting turns. Preparations was fair. Walleye in lemon caper sauce was pasty. The fish was meaty and bland. Not fresh walleye in the land of fresh fish? Pasta with meat sauce was very tomatoey, with no... More

We were here in 2014, and enjoyed the food, so we returned. The food is still good, but not as good as we remembered. The restaurant now has some nice cocktails, and also offers a great selection of wines by the glass, including a number of flights. The wine list is fantastic, as befits a Wine Spectator award winner The... More

Classic Italian dinning and Wine Spectator award winner since 1999
Bellisio’s restaurant conjures up images of highly skilled chefs, fine wines, superb service, and fresh Italian food. And while all this is most certainly true, one must not forget that Bellisio’s is above all an experience. An exceptional dining experience, to be precise, but one that takes place in a casual atmosphere reminiscent of the quaint eateries and wine bars of the Italian countryside. And no wonder. The experience is fashioned after the small village of Bellisio, Italy, home to the owner’s ancestry. Imported direct from Italy are the beauty, comfort, romance, and glorious recipes. Specialty dishes include perfectly prepared pasta dishes using the finest imported and local ingredients; fennel roasted rack of pork; homemade risotto dishes; grilled steaks; shrimp; seafood; and a fresh catch feature every day. All served with a world class wine menu to match. Bellisio’s has received Wine Spectator’s prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence” every year since we opened in 1999. It’s a simple, colorful, elegant, and exceptional dining experience.
