We selected this restaurant at random and were delightfully surprised. It excelled expectations in all respects. The food was delicious, the service friendly and expedient, and the décor pleasant. Our table overlooked the lake. The experience was so good, we had lunch there again the next day.

I'd been here before but my husband hadn't. It's a definite drive by from the outside which I'm sure hurts the cash register but I've recommended it over and over. Though you look over a parking lot it has a lovely view of Lake Superior and we were graced with a few sail boats to boot! The restaurant dining room... More

Neither here or there really. The steak sandwich case "assembly required" and not with English muffin toast as promised. The onion rings and root beer were awesome but otherwise expensive for average food.

We stopped here for a late lunch on Sunday and sat on the patio. Service was friendly & attentive without being bothersome. Lunch was great (I had the burger with ground bacon and hubs had the hot beef sandwich) & the apple crisp was amazing and very big! It's definitely not a stuffy supper club. Just an old school location... More

Needed to get out of Canal Park's craziness, so ventured to Pickwick. It was outstanding. We were able to sit outdoors on the patio with a view of Lake Superior. Attentive, friendly waitress. Made helpful suggestions and actually agreed with substitutions (get the Gouda mashed potatoes instead of the fries...so good). Drinks were phenomenal (Superior Bulldog), the smoked Whitefish appetizer... More

I suggested to the relatives we were visiting to choose from a list of Duluth restaurants, and they selected the Pickwick. We made reservations on a Tuesday for seven including two children and asked for a table with a view. We got a round table one row in from the windows but only two people could see Lake Superior. The... More

A local beer $4.50 on Thurs night specual and a mediocre blended red from Chili at $9 should have been our clue. The "Superior Beef Dip" $11.50, was your typical unadorned french dip on a bun too large for the amount of deli style cut beef on the sandwich. My french frys were soft, lacking in any crispness at all.... More

I was here on business and selected this based on all of the good reviews, plus it has a great spot on the Lake. I chose to sit outside to enjoy the view and mild weather but sadly the fence at the back of the space blocks the view (hint, put some high tops out here). I ordered walleye for... More

I had the lobster roma and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. The soup was just OK. The pasta was great! They give you bread and salad with the meal. The bread was warm and yummy. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Our food came quickly and was great. The ice tea is fabulous! The cheesecake was amazing.

The staff was gracious and the service was excellent. Restaurant was a little tired. Walleye sauteed was delicious which was why we went there.

Description
The Pickwick is Duluth's landmark restaurant situated on the shore of Lake Superior. Best known for its steaks and seafood from the only indoor charcoal grill in the area. There are also great burgers and sandwiches for under $12. The banquet room accommodates up to 50 people and offers privacy for business or family occasions. The bar has been restored to its 1940 layout offering an energetic atmosphere for all ages. Two happy hours - before dinner and late night - keep the bar hopping from 4am until close. The dining rooms bring back the history of the Pickwick which has been operating since 1914. Fine dining is at its best with our excellent serving staff along with the creations of Chef Jake Sutula. Reservations are accepted. Come see why the Pickwick has been Duluth's place to be for nearly a century!
