Description: The Pickwick is Duluth's landmark restaurant situated on the shore of Lake...
The Pickwick is Duluth's landmark restaurant situated on the shore of Lake Superior. Best known for its steaks and seafood from the only indoor charcoal grill in the area. There are also great burgers and sandwiches for under $12. The banquet room accommodates up to 50 people and offers privacy for business or family occasions. The bar has been restored to its 1940 layout offering an energetic atmosphere for all ages. Two happy hours - before dinner and late night - keep the bar hopping from 4am until close. The dining rooms bring back the history of the Pickwick which has been operating since 1914. Fine dining is at its best with our excellent serving staff along with the creations of Chef Jake Sutula. Reservations are accepted. Come see why the Pickwick has been Duluth's place to be for nearly a century!

Great Room With A View

The main room is as it was before World War I. With large widows looking out over Lake Superior, one of the best views. There are four rooms, three with windows on the lake and an expanded bar area, itself an interesting venue. The New England Clam Chowder was very good! The Cobb Salad was... read more

In town for dinner with some clients, and they suggested the Pickwick. Excellent choice. Steaks were cooked to perfection, appetizers were great, and wine was awesome. Definitely will come back the next time I'm in town. Nice choice.

My boss took a few of us here to celebrate my 20 year work anniversary, and we all ordered the ribeye dinner. The steaks were done to perfection, and the sides and mushroom appetizer were outstanding as well. It's definitely not a cheap place to eat ($37 for ribeye), but was the best dinner I've ever had, and generous portions... More

It's been many years since I last went to the "Wick." We stopped going years back as the food quality was in decline. We heard that they made it through a "transition" and the food is back on par—boy were they right! They went back to the basics—The food was amazing! Best artichoke dip I've ever had! Nice drink selection... More

I was really hoping things would have been better, as this place is good not great. The atmosphere is great and definitely has an old world charm. My wife had the cabobs which where good and I ordered the Rib Eye, I was really hoping this would be my place for a great steak in Duluth but will have to... More

Only second time here, first time was over five years ago but we still remembered how delicious the food was! I had the char salmon- seriously the best I've ever had. Hubby had the roast beef, he devoured it! We took dessert to go and even after two hours later the brownie was amazing. Wait staff was excellent, we felt... More

My husband and I had the artichoke dip for appetizer, and the Italian Penne Diablo and Lobster Roma pasta dishes for our main entrees. It all was delicious! I would have gone there just to get the artichoke dip - it has sausage and cream cheese in there!

Visited for dinner on a mid week night, and we were seated immediately at a table in a nice location. We ordered a local beer and a Sauvignon Blanc, which we brought right away, along with our water filled. We were given time to view the menu, and decided on the fresh salmon, wild rice and fresh vegetables, and for... More

My wife and I had lunch at Pickwick Restaurant recently while in Duluth on a weekend get-away; we walked from the Comfort Suites in Canal Park (less than 15 minutes walk). Food was very good (I had a club sandwich and my wife had a small sandwich and French Onion soup) - both meals were tasty and very filling. Prices... More

I remember my first trip to Pickwick in 1972. It was charming and wonderful, and the food was delicious! I recommended it to my 2 collegues today for dinner after training. It did not disappoint. The staff, from the hostess to the waiter who "just filled the waters" were all very kind. Food prices had not skyrocketed like mmost places.... More
