We eat breakfast here often. They make food from local ingredients and it a kind of hipstery place. Breakfast and coffee is amazing. However, they praise them self for their bread but I do not like their bread, it is dry and hard. I love the atmosphere, it reminds me of Europe, especially in summer when you can sit outside.

The ambiance is very eclectic and artsy...They have a fish tank at knee-level! Breakfast is good and home-style. My husband got a Benedict with wild rice cakes and he thought it was delicious. I got the French toast. It was good but the batter had an orange flavor that wasn't advertised. Although the food was good, it is overpriced.

Maybe because it's in a basement it feels a little dark and closed in, but the food is always good. I don't love waiting in line to order, but they never disappoint in flavor. Great place for lunch.

TL;DR: Go to Uncle Loui's, Pizza Luce, Zeitgeist, At Sara's Table, or anywhere else if you want an actually enjoyable breakfast/lunch experience. This is the second time we've had an "amazing" experience at this place. My girlfriend and I walked down to Canal Park during a leisurely midday stroll and decided to stop in for brunch. We walked in the... More

This is a coffee-shop plus. The coffee is great, well-made by people who understand coffee. The breakfast is a made-to-order bargain that far exceeds what most coffee shops offer for this morning (7 A.M. to noon) meal. Skip the hotel buffet breakfast and enjoy the setting and a meal that sets you up for the day. An added bonus is... More

Granted, I was traveling to Sault Ste. Marie and wanted to have a good breakfast before I left. And so, I didn't have all day. But it had come highly recommended so I walked over from the hotel at 7:30 am a few days before Christmas. There were only 2 other parties eating. There was one person working and she... More

While in town for a convention I ate here two days in a row. The first day I was towards the end of lunch, and they were out of soup. The sandwich was good, unique combinations above and beyond the traditional sandwich shop. Not a quick place, the first day it was quick as I was one of the few... More

Nothing corporate about this wonderful place. Enjoyed a Grilled Cheese and Bacon Sandwich and a cup of Rhubarb Wild Rice Soup on a cold day. A warm and comfortable place.

I stopped in to grab breakfast while I filled out post cards. Very haggard waitress/hostess told me to grab a seat and someone would be with me. I proceeded to fill out all my postcards and look through some brochures without anyone even bringing coffee. Understaffed but not really my problem. I got up and left. Obviously can't comment on... Everything from our award winning breads to our crisp golden hash browns are made from scratch daily. Whether it's muffins for your morning meeting or a cake for your wedding, the Amazing Grace Bakery and Cafe is gladly here to serve you. We have always seen the need for locally conscious and globally friendly businesses. That's why we also specialize in local eggs from Promised Land Farms, local honey from the Bar Bell Bee Ranch, fresh local beer from the Bent Paddle Brewing Company, beans from local roasters Alakef, local syrup from Simple Gifts, all of our to go containers and utensils are compostable, and we also compost all of our food and coffee waste. This bakery that added a coffee shop that started making sandwiches that started making breakfast all in the same spot has been locally owned and operated since its inception, 1995. Built on one iconic saying from our late founder, "be kind, be brave, don't eat bad bread", the Amazing Grace has held true to those ideals for nearly two decades and will for many more to come.
