Wife had a nice red ale and tasty hamburger ... I had a Harp lager, and a disgusting appetizer, Ruben spring rolls, it came out dripping in fryer grease ... avoid at all costs if you value your arteries !!

We had been here before while visiting Duluth so we thought we would go again. The comedy was very raw and we really wanted to leave shortly after arriving but had ordered food. Our food was awful and we didn't eat much. We will not...return.More
I’m not sure whether I should begin with the good or the bad, so I’ll start out on a positive note. We shared the fish and chips. The fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. You can get a small...or large order of fish and chips. The large order included five medium size pieces of fish and tartar sauce. Some Cole Slaw would have gone well but wasn’t offered. Now the bad: There wasn’t anyone to seat customers and a sign says to grab a menu, seat yourself and order at the bar. The bartender then brings your food and you never see anyone again. This is primarily a bar with billiard tables taking up one full half of the restaurant. We were there on a Saturday night and it was LOUD. The restaurant has a dingy, barroom feel to it. That said, the fish and chips WERE good and I’d probably give it a try for something else.More
Whatever is going on here is a bit odd. You seat yourselves and then walk up to the bar to place your order--for food as well as bar items. I.e., no table service at all. The food was WAY too salty! The dry-rub chicken wings...were so salty as to be almost inedible. We had to scrape the rub off with a knife as best we could. The other food was "okay" but nothing special--except for the smoked whitefish which was excellent.More
Nice little pub, great service! The atmosphere definitely has an Irish flair to it. I would recommend a visit and look forward to doing so again.
We went to this bar because it looked like they had really awesome Irish food, but unfortunately they were serving a limited menu due to COVID, so we decided to have a beer instead an find food elsewhere. I had their ale from their brewhouse...and it was very tasty.More
Great food and service. Friendly staff. Free pool and darts! Had bangers and mash, Shepherds pie and fish and chips. All were great. All reasonably priced.
The food was a-mazing. If you like Shepherd's Pie - this is the place for you. Staff was pleasant and service good. Food came quickly.
Friends and co-workers meet here after work from time to time and we always have enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and we will be back.
Wife and I frequent in the summer for lunch, friendly atmosphere with some tasty Irish dishes. Top shelf Irish whiskie.
A group of us stopped for drinks. Loved the atmosphere of this place, lively and fun. Wide variety of drinks at reasonable prices.
Great find on a cold, wet afternoon. Warm welcome and quiet on a Saturday early afternoon. Enjoyed a late lunch, beer and hot toddy. Fun atmosphere and good food. A bit funky, but I realize that’s what it’s supposed to be.
We stumbled upon the Dubh Linn after severe storms made us leave the beach and seek the shelter of a downtown parking garage. This place was close to where we parked so we stopped in. How had we not experienced it before in our many...trips to Duluth??? This place was great! Our food was great and the entire menu looked delicious, including many Irish favorites. Though we couldn’t stay long we’re making plans to go back with many friends to try the whiskeys - their selection is the largest in MN. There were many beers and ciders to choose from as well. We ordered gift cards for Christmas gifts and some desserts (brandy cream puffs anyone?) to go to share at our next stop. We’ll be planning to go back and stay near the restaurant to make a day of it soon. The pub itself had a fun traditional vibe to it, and is likely quite lively in the evenings. There are options for group seating, booths, tables, bar seating, and a private room to accommodate whoever you’re with. The bartenders were amazing - very knowledgeable and friendly. This bar is the perfect excuse to visit Duluth even when it’s cold and snowy out. And if you want a fabulous place to stay for the night, A G Thomson House is less than a 10 minute drive away. Enjoy! Close to our hotel and we like to visit Irish pubs when we travel. Fish and chips looked and tasted like fish sticks. Was dissapointed -Appetizers - chicken finger 3 for 10.50. Beer was good. Should come just to drink. Disappointed
We were in town with family and decided to walk down to Dinh Linn for a few drinks and food. Beers were very good and all the food that was ordered that was very good.
