No words can explain how wonderful this place is. I love the salmon. I get the full filet of 4 different flavors and my husband loves the aged salami

Best smoked salmon and sandwiches in Duluth. Cajin Finn is my favorite. When at the Great Lakes Aquarium, you can have food delivered. Staff will pedal them over on bike. Nice option.

After rock climbing for two hours, we were starving and would've smiled through the excessive pricing at most places in the touristy Canal district. But the guide told us we had to try Northern Waters Smokehouse. "Yes, it's a hole in the wall, but trust me"...What a special little gem. One thing is very clear: this place began as someone's... Spectacular food and friendly service. Hard to choose from the menu which would make any foodie drool, without being pretentious. Everything I like in a place: relaxed, non-fussy vibe, superior ingredients (pun intended), and smashing combinations of flavors. Don't fall for a "cute but generic touristy" place. Eat here.

My husband and I were completely blown away by how delicious this place is. Don't let the long lines deter you, service is quick and the quality far exceeds the time you spend in line. My husband had the Cajun Finn and I had the Slammin' Gordon. Both salmon sandwichs and very different. I loved the spice of the Cajun... More

This place is a must do for lunch or a quick dinner while in Duluth. Amazing! I got the bahn faux mi and was very impressed. The kimchi was so yummy and that's really impressed be because I just got back from living abroad in Japan. The Big Dipper is what the hubby got and was equally amazing. Will go... More

We were wandering in the Canal Park area and stumbled on this restaurant/deli for lunch. We had the Cajun Salmon sandwich and the Northern Bagel (with smoked salmon)...which were both excellent. Maybe some of the best sandwiches we've ever had. They were not stingy with the smoked salmon either as both sandwiches had big "chunks" of salmon on them. There... More

The food was good but we were surprised at the price of the meals. I know the told us there is no tipping there, but even with that in mind the prices seemed pretty high.

This is a small deli style cafe with many options for smoked fish/meat. We tried two sandwiches with smoked salmon which were fantastic...The best smoked salmon we've ever had. The service was good, although it was not very busy at the time we visited. Definitely will revisit if were back in Duluth.

Great, friendly and delicious sandwiches. We had the salmon pate on pita with lettuce tomatoes cucumbers. Mmmmm. We also had the DLT. With smoked turkey, lettuce tomatoes, mayonnaise brown mustard on a toasted ciabatta bread. Very tasty, little hint of spice. This place is a must.!!
