Great food

We drive from Duluth about once a month to eat at Pedro's. The food is freshly prepared, and the portions are generous and tasty. Usually, the service is good too. I really wish Pedro's was in Duluth, which is a much bigger city than Cloquet and should have good Mexican eateries. But sadly, there is no comparable Mexican restaurant in Duluth.

Street tacos

I ordered 3 st. tacos with rice and beans to go. I was told 20-25 min. and the person was spot on! Food was hot and ready when I arrived. There was 1 container of rice and beans. Rice was tasteless until I put on the excellent hot salsa which I had ordered. Refried beans looked unappetizing because it was so pureed--not a whole bean there! It looked like a weird baby food! However, when I tasted it without the salsa it had a decent flavor. The street tacos were more like the size of regular tacos and it was loaded with pork! Salsa and jalapinos and onions/cilantro were in different small containers. I liked that they included onions. Freshly made tasty delicate (thin) chips were included. (The bag was quite greasy) They should have drained the chips better. The chips were flavorful and crunchy. I would certainly go there again!

Great food, great service

We love this place. My favorite dish is the Lindo Special-steak, chicken and shrimp with peppers in a delicious cheese sauce. My husband chose his usual, beef enchiladas, which were also very good. The server was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is doing an excellent job of using proper procedures and precautions during this pandemic. This place is in a neighboring town so we don’t get there very often, but when we do, I always wonder why we don’t. It’s definitely worth the trip.

Eat here only if you enjoy sitting in 90° heat and lots and lots of flies

What a horrible experience. Birthday dinner ruined. This place has no air conditioning. NONE. Husband and I walked in entryway stood waiting to be seated. As we were standing there we both commented on how hot it was in that section of the restaurant. Just thinking that it was close to the kitchen that's why. But then we got seated. And noticed that everyone around us was fanning themselves and sweating. Should have walked out then. But no we had to give them the benefit of the doubt. So we asked the server to turn on more fans. He informed us they didn't work. We ordered our meals. Which I won't even get into the terrible terrible service that we got, . It was basically the worst experience at a restaurant that we've ever had. Sitting there trying to finish a mediocre at best meal, while dabbing the sweat from your brow. But the worst part of the meal was since they didn't have air conditioning they had all the doors open( which by the way it was in the high 80s low 90s), so with your meal you get a fresh supply of flies swarming you the entire time! We were both pissed and didn't finish our meals and got up to leave. When we went to pay the cashier asked us how everything was and we told them it was horrible. The heat was unbearable and the flies were disgusting. She looked at my husband and said we don't need to fix our air conditioning because we're getting a new location people will just have to deal with it. I was stunned. Terrible service terrible food and terrible atmosphere. Stay far far away from this place

Great food terrible service

Went to their new location on a Sunday afternoon. Was seated right away at a nice outside table. Someone brought over chips and salsa right away. 10 minutes later I went looking for a waitress, finally found one and asked to offer or get drinks. 5 minutes later someone else took our drink order and server would be with us. 5 min later waitress comes and asks if we’re ready to order and we did. She was not friendly and it too line 30 seconds to order. Food came about 1o later and was delicious. After waiting 5-10 minutes after waitress too our plates we went inside to pay. Had to ask 3 people to get bill. What bugged us the most is how invisible we were to all. No apology for delays or walking by a table with no food no drinks for 15 mins. I will not be back until All staff gets told to acknowledge customers and apologize for delays etc..

Promises not honored

Did not receive food as ordered. It was a to go order so we did not know until home (which is an hour away). We called the manager immediately and were told there would be a gift certificate “in the back drawer”. I explained we do not get into the area regularly and was reassured the certificate would be there. Today I called that we planned to be at the restaurant and was told there was no certificate and per the manager “there’s nothing I can do about it…goodbye”. I’m very disappointed.

Great food, serivce; open later than most places

Late dinner on the way home from Int'l Falls to Mpls. Not many places still open, we sure lucked out with this place. Fantastic food, fantastic friendly service from every worker we encountered. Decent prices and suprisingly authentic food options! We will go out of our way to return next time in the area, likely in June when we go camping on the North Shore. Had a gigantic bowl of boozy punch, and the food portions were big so we had yummy leftovers too.

My favorite Mexican Restaurant

Always excellent! Fast, friendly service, fresh ingredients plus large portions. I love being adventurous and trying new dishes. Today I printed off their menu so I can plan ahead for my next new taste! Their new location in Cloquet is beautiful a huge variety of seating and the booths have ample room to fit my big Guy.

Delicious Mexican food in the Northwoods

After we spent the day in Duluth we went to Cloquet where we were staying at the Super 8. While looking for a place to eat i found this restaurant since we hadn't eaten at a Mexican restaurant for a while. My wife and i came here for dinner and even though there was a wait it was no longer than 20 minutes. I decided on the San Pedro burrito which was a generous size enough to fill me up. The chips and salsa served before were really good. Would visit here again in the future as the service was good as well as the prices.

Padro's needs a little work

Went there for lunch today. My wife's taco bowl was burnt. The server did replace it. Not sure why the cook would send it out that way. Taco and Enchilada were ok beans and salsa were runny. Would not return. Billy B.

Food was FANTASTIC! Family of five and all walked away stuffed! Medium margaritas are more like large!!! Staff was awesome, inviting, and friendly! They did an AMAZING JOB after our first to options failed. GREAT JOB we definitely will come back

Good Mexican fare; a few issues with takeout

Good typical Mexican food. Salsa with a bit of zip. Cute, Hopping place. We ordered take out. Couldn’t call in, had to order online. Had to wait extra till they found plastic ware for us, taking out and eating in a park (due to covid).

Greatest local Spot...Outdoor fireplace & deck!

From just sitting on the deck patio to the very delicious food, definitely not a spot to miss. Menu is extensive and very fair prices. Staff is attentive & friendly too!

Spot on again!!

I stop here whenever working in the area and have brought the family up here a number of times. It’s been a couple years since last visit and if anything had gotten better.
