Nice place for various type of outings - family/friends or business. I was there for a lunch business meeting. The food options were good even though there wasn’t much to choose from that were Gluten Free. There was no GF designation on the menu. Staff...was friendly. I would go back again (I hope GF bread or buns would be available next time).More

Wow! We really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant! It is a beautiful, historic building, nice dining rooms and lots of room between tables. We chose the room with large windows and pretty light fixtures.. our servers were really friendly and responsive to requests. My...husband had the bleu burger with waffle fries and a large draft rootbeer and I enjoyed the best lasagna I have ever had, I kid you not! I also enjoyed the root beer and a pop over with sweetened butter. I recommend this to anyone for an excellent meal and friendly service!More

So many great things to say here... awesome food, excellent service, fun atmosphere for families and business travelers alike. I was here for two weeks on business and ate here almost every night. Snake bites, burgers, pizza, calzone... didn’t have one complaint on anything. The...staff is super attentive (esp behind the bar) and the owners (owners family) are on site almost all the time. You can tell they really care about their customers, and their staff. Everyone is super friendly. Definitely a local hangout... and a much loved establishment.More

Walk into history and find a fresh bowl of popcorn on your table. Menu has something for everyone. We tried a burger, chicken sandwich, quesadilla, chicken chili and the sweet potatoes. Everything was delightful and sweet potatoes are the best ever.

Not many places around anymore like this place. Stained glass, tin ceiling, wasn’t sure if I was in the 1930’s or today. My steak came well when I ordered medium but they were great about it and I will return

We were really looking forward to our visit after reading so many great reviews, but it just didn't live up to expectations. My husband and I both ordered off the daily specials menu, so maybe that was part of our problem. Our food was ok,...but nothing special. The kids ate their meals, but the plastic lids that don't really fit the cups and the paper straws were kind of awful. I love the idea of paper straws, but they just didn't work with younger children. Service was a little slow too, especially for being about 1:30p... it wasn't very busy. Like I said our meal was ok, but I would try a different restaurant next time.More

My friend lives in Breckenridge and our gang of girls had to eat...and the Wilkin was on top of the list! We have been there 2x - loved it both times! Beautiful woodwork and fun atmosphere! We had burgers and soup and waffle fries and...wrapped it up with a Wilkin Cookie dessert that was wonderful. All the food was great. The cookie takes 20 min after ordering, but that was fine by us and well worth it.More

I went here from a recommendation from a friend. The service was very good, our server stopped by a lot. We tried the snakebites, the raspberry sauce they were in was very tasty, but the jalapenos themselves should've been cooked a little longer, still pretty...decent. For entrees we got burgers. They were big and had a nice char taste while not being overcooked. I'd definitely recommend and go back to this place.More

Our group stopped here for lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was much better than expected for a sports bar, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was terrific. Probably a good place for dinner as well.

Wow! Seriously! We are so glad we stopped in The Wilkin today. We actually drove past it twice before noticing the place and stopping the third time. We walked into an Irish/British style pub! In Breckenridge, MN?? We made our way into the bar side...and took a seat in a booth. The lighting was quite dim and it was a bit difficult to see the menu. We ordered the Beer Cheese Soup and a Reuben... and both were excellent! Our only regret is that we live too far away to make regular visits to The Wilkin, but rest assured, we look forward to returning the next time we are in town. Thank you!More

The aroma alerted us to the Wilkin's presence! After we had taken the grandkids, ages 12 and 9, to the Wahpeton Zoo, we were all hungry, and so we started looking for a place to eat. My husband explained to the kids that we like...to eat at local eateries and places unique to the city we are visiting. As we were driving around looking, when we passed the Wilkin, we could smell the enticing cooking aromas. From the moment we entered, we were enthralled by the pressed-tin ceilings, the ornately, polished carved wood, the beautiful light covers, the stained-glass windows, the old-fashioned tables and chairs. We had three very-filling specials and one order from the kids' menu, and along with drinks, the total was only $34. The Asian tacos ARE very spicy, the turkey melt on cranberry bread is very good and very filling, and the children's mac n cheese came with (waffle) fries and grapes. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside with rich sweet potato on the inside, and the waffle fries were spiced perfectly; neither were greasy. Our waitress was good, even refilling the root beer and our coffees without being asked. An excellent choice to support a locally-owned eatery.More

I would have no problem taking my grandchildren there. One side is more bar type..the other is restaurant. Nothing inappropriate on either side.
