I'm an owner of a few establishments in Duluth and we had a customer that lives in Bloomington with a month to live request a meal from our restaurant. I reached out to Cedar + Stone knowing of their reputation from both experience and people...I know in the industry. I was contacted by Executive Chef Frank Gort and he and his team absolutely blew me away with their level of service. He took on the project without hesitation and not only procured the ingredients but made the dish and delivered the meal himself. He's a true hospitalian and I wish there were more like him in the industry. I will surly be in next time I'm in town. First class all the way. Thanks Chef!More

Top notch in every way. The server did a great job. The timeliness was perfect. The food out of this world. The braised short ribs were fork tender that just melted in your mouth. Amazing experience.

We ordered our meal to go on Christmas Day and it was fabulous! We didn’t want the traditional prime rib or turkey for our dinner. We placed the order and it was ready to go when we picked it up. The sides of mashed potatoes,...skinny green beans and a tomato purée were all very tasty. I look forward to enjoying this meal again, hopefully on-site soon!!More

First class restaurant & bar attached to the Mall of America. Upscale decor and menu, prices reflect it but is worth what they are charging. Food was phenomenal as was the cocktail menu. Top shelf spirits at the bar.

Nice escape from MoA with good ambiance. Service was great, food and drinks solid - but a bit pricey.

It was a busy night and where we sat was the busiest part where it seemed as though people from the hotel mall would walk by, it was fun to observe. I had the fillet, it was cooked to perfection I absolutely savored every bite....My husband had chicken and hated it and basically didn’t like the place because the food was overpriced and the service from our waiter wasn’t good. I agree with him on the service. Food was spendy but mine was so good!!!More

We celebrated Valentines Day here and were more than pleased with the meal, We started with the Artisanal board which came with 3 meats, pickled cucumbers, bread and a sauce for the bread. For us the board was perfect. Neither of us are fans of...duck typically but I liked the duck the way it was prepared. My husband did not. He liked the other two meats which were some variation of salami. I did not. We both LOVED the pickled cucumber, I was amazed how pickling and or seasoning transformed the taste of the food. All of the food except the salmon is locally sourced here so I tried the Filo Dusted Walleye. It was simply delicious. The fish itself was very light and cooked perfectly. I came with blistered tomatoes which were very flavorful. Together the taste was nirvana. My husband had the Buther's cut steak which was cooked exactly like he asked. The meat was tender and flavorful. The portion size was good. He said he would order it again. One of the things I need to note about restaurant is the attention to detail they demonstrate. Additional silverware appropriately sized were given to us prior to our appetizer Food was presented beautifully. On a side note, we were not happy with where we were going to be sat originally and asked for manager. He resolved issue immediately. Drinks are pretty pricey but not your normal selection. The drinks we had had quite a complex flavor. We both enjoyed the dinner and would recommend it. Prices prohibit it from being your run of the mill going out to eat place to one of a dining experience.More

QUICKIE REVIEW Clean, quiet, and roomy. FOOD This is what I tried: -Minnesota cheddar cornbread -braised short rib -Atlantic Salmon   Cornbread was downright delicious and buttery (thinking about it now I want another one).   Waiter was kind enough to cut it up for...the table, that was appreciated.   Roast beef practically fell apart upon touching it.  Yes, it was that tender.   Grits was good as well.  Salmon by default is not charred but it was requested and they delivered.   We even ask for a touch of Cajun spice which they had.  It was good. PARKING Yes but it is Mall of America parking, prepare to walk. SERVICE Good.  Waitress checked in on us frequently and made sure we (there was 6 of us) were good.   PRICE Roughly $50 for one including drinks. TIPS/OTHER THOUGHTS This place is on the higher end of food at Mall of America but I can say in what I had it was worth it.More

Went here for a birthday dinner with my family and a few friends. The setting is quite elegant, though it still feels like you are eating in a hotel, rather than a stand-alone restaurant. Our service was excellent, as it should be in such a...high end restaurant. We had been told the Braised Short-Rib was spectacular, and so both my wife and I ordered it. Sadly, we were disappointed. The meat was very tender, but not especially flavorful. Accompaniments were good however, I had mine with the grits, which were very smooth and tasty, and my wife had the whipped yukon potatoes which were also very good. For dessert we had the donuts, which were tasty, but again not spectacular, and a creme brulee, which was quite good. If you are looking for a place to go for a very nice dinner near the Mall of America, this is a very nice place, and hopefully the food will match the raves I've heard from some people. Sadly, ours wasn't worth the high price.More
