The trails are well groomed. The bar has a great beer selection and the food is good. The rooms are perfect for a family or small groups if the conference rooms are utilized.

Menu small but adequate. Early supper with very nice wait staff. Great chocolate lava cake with ice cream. I had the special, a Prime Rib sandwich, which was more than enough. A nice slice of medium rare beef which was very tasty. Will go back for sure.

Staff was friendly and food was nothing special. My steak seemed to be flavored with extra salt and was not the most tender cut of meat I've had.

We ate at the restaurant during a visit in march- our waitress couldn't do enough for us (and we had lots of requests for some reason!) food was lovely too- could benefit from a bit more atmosphere- lighting/ fireplace and guitarist was good but VERY loud

Have stayed here several times and must confirm reviews prior. The skiing is very good, and the golf courses are fantastic. The lodge itself is a very nice facility, and rooms are nice as well. Beds were very comfortable. There is not an oven in kitchen, which limits what you can prepare for food. Staffing is very limited. Staff at... More

This is a business stop for me and I occasionally stay overnight. I really enjoy the mid-week peacefulness of this northern Minnesota destination resort. The rooms are all suites with kitchenettes as far as I can tell. Never had anything other. It is a very comfortable environment with quality features. The restaurant is occasionally understaffed during a "rush" but most... More

The location and physical building - lobby, restaurant, game room, spa, pool, etc. - are beautiful, freshly decorated, and clean. But our experience in the restaurant echos other tripadvisor reviews - terribly understaffed, resulting in the worst dining experience in memory. Two women were serving the entire restaurant: seating customers, taking drink orders, going behind the bar to pour drinks... More

As with others, I found Giants Ridge Lodge woefully understaffed. Service was slow in restaurant, they forgot to clean our rooms one day, and they were understaffed throughout the resort. The food in the restaurant isn't very good. On the plus side, it is a lovely spot, and if they got their act together, it could be very nice.

Loved being right at the ski-hill. The full kitchen and separate bedrooms and living area worked well with three kids.
