This is an organic-foods type restaurant. Customers order at the counter and bus their dishes when through. The food was delicious. The restaurant was clean. We were there middle of the afternoon so not too busy. My husband had the meatless chili which would normally not interest him, but he said it was delicious. This is located next to an... More

Lunch on the road can be challenging. The restaurants don't always present themselves when I am hungry. Bemidji was a good time of the day for us and we were lucky to find the Wild Hare. It is a busy local restaurant and coffee shop at noon. People are lined up to place their orders. So we joined the line... More

Perfect soups , coffees , and specials ! This started out as the Uptown Cafe and serves as a hub for excellent food , art openings , and a social hub . There are ethnic focused thematic meals that are gourmand for such a small town !

I've been to the Wild Hare many years ever since I was a kid and they never disappoint. The food is made fresh by expert staff and they always make me feel invited (Alex Narveson is always especially helpful and friendly). I really enjoy having coffee in the back patio that is covered and contained by vines, making it a... More

Opting not to eat at the food chains when possible, we discovered this place and have made several visits. We gravitate toward the wild rice salad and the the hummus platter. Never had a bad sandwich here either. Order at the counter coffe shop atmosphere.

Honestly have a small affection for this coffeeshop, but raely go there as they are either closed or about to. I imagine they cater mostly to the neighboring government agencies, but I'd be pushing hard to attract others; students, families, tourists etc. have a play area for kids somewhere and increase your hours and your presence. It is a really... More

This is the place to go for a nutritious home made soup for lunch. They are creative and flavorful. The hummus plate is a favorite.

This is the best place to find healthy options! They have everything you would expect at a coffee shop, and in addition have pretty extensive breakfast and lunch menus. They also just started accepting credit cards, which makes it even better! They put a unique spin on their food options, for example: the chicken salad sandwich has some sort of... More

Try the humus plate. The menu is light and uses local products. The cooks have a variety of wth is specials that rotate through the menu.
