This is a totally unique restaurant. It is based on the Willow Run Bomber Plant that produced B-24 Bombers during WWII. The walls are covered with memorabilia from WWII and models of various military aircraft are hanging from the ceiling. Awesome food. Nothing fancy, just good food and LOTS of it. I volunteer at the Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run and this is one of our favorite places for lunch.

Super good food. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was superb. The turkey Rueben was amazing. The fries are to die for. A nice array of pictures on the wall, not all of bombers. Model aircraft from the ceiling were a nice touch All the staff were very friendly and attentive

This place is fantastic!! I had the French Dip sandwich and onion rings. My friend had the patty melt, Dad had the sausage gravy over biscuits with cheese and sausage pieces on top. My mom and sister had Rubens and my nephew said the Captain Crunch French toast was the best French toast he’s ever had. And the prices were so reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We read all the reviews and they made it sound like a “must place” to eat if you are in the Ypsilanti area. Having old World War II mementos etc. hanging on the walls and ceiling made it for a fun atmosphere. Per the reviews the restaurant was famous for their breakfasts. The food was good and large servings, but nothing super special. It wasn’t bad, but nothing special. I was less critical, but my wife felt it wasn’t the cleanest place in town. I felt it was just old and needed to remodel. Have to carpet was dirty. (Sometimes ”old” gives you the feeling it not clean). What I found to be a little hard to explain, the wait to get in. Between opening and about 1:00 PM there is a line to get seated. I have waited in line at numerous breakfast type restaurants, to find the food was fantastic, this was not the case. For me if I needed a place to eat breakfast, and there was no wait, I would go back. But to wait, I found it not worth it.

This restaurant has a lot of history in a little place. It has bomber parts, military uniforms and everything else to show how important they were during WWII. My daughter made us stop there for breakfast when we picked her up from the Detroit Airport. It was well worth the stop!

Great diner food, and the portions are HUGE! Loved the WWII memorabilia and decor. Service was very friendly! You have to try the CAP'N CRUNCH FRENCH TOAST!

What an amazing spot! Our server was Tasha, she was awesome! Super attentive, explained the menu and just an all around awesome human being. The decor of the restaurant is so interesting, everything airplane from every section of the armed forces and every year. And now the food… out of this world! The portions are huge, everything is made fresh upon ordering and delicious! And the food comes out fast! Our family had a skillet, omelet, pancakes and French toast. No one could finish their meal b/c the servings were so generous. For potatoes, they have tater tots- they came out hot and fresh. Can’t say enough about this spot- you must visit of you’re in town.

This has always been one of my favorite restaurants— the atmosphere alone is worth it, and the food keeps bringing you back. A must see in Ypsi!!

Server was awesome! Food was 'okay'. I prefer Leo's or L Georges. Decor and history was cool, parking lot had lots of trash.

I’d heard about the Bomber for years but hadn’t found time to eat there. I recently had some business to do in Ypsilanti so I had my chance. Glad I went. It’s not fancy. But it is interesting. And historic. Lots of model airplanes (mostly WWII bombers, not surprising) hang from the ceiling. My friend and I are history fans and my friend is a private pilot so we found lots of things to look at. As for the food, it’s good, honest food. Servings are sufficient. But the food was delicious. No beer though

Great service, wonderful sandwiches. WWII bombers and other model airplanes hung from the ceiling and historic photos line the walls.

This could be called "The Great American Breakfast Place". Big portions. Fun atmosphere. Great waitstaff. Reasonable prices. What more could you ask for. A delicious Reuben sandwich? They got it. A must try in Ann Arbor area.

I had heard about the Bomber on a Facebook group I follow. We were traveling through the area and planned to stop in. Being an aircraft enthusiast I loved all the model planes hanging from the ceiling and the memorabilia on the walls. The staff at the Bomber were stellar, very attentive. I ordered the full meatloaf dinner with mashed and gravy. I received one very full ( three slabs) plate of meatloaf and a pile of freshly mashed potatoes and the gravy was sinfully delicious. The whole meatloaf platter came in at just under $10! I highly recommend the Bomber, it was a winner for us!

This is the go-to breakfast spot when we are in the area! It might be a little divey, but the food, prices, and atmosphere are what you go for. There is aviation stuff everywhere. Posters, signs, war memorabilia, etc all over the walls. Model aircraft hanging everywhere! So cool. Everything I've ever had from the captain crunch french toast to the pancakes are amazing. Portions are gigantic. Bacon is perfectly cooked and crispy. If you like yours crispy, don't ask for extra crispy. Regular is perfect. Did I mention the portions are huge? Come hungry!
