Their fried seaweed rolls and spicy chicken looks good. The meat looks quite nice and lean as well. Double checked that they were open today. The woman seemed friendly and warm with her greetings and goodbyes. The order would take 10 minutes. The woman taking...our order was quite nice and warm. The woman that took my order cashed me out and let me know which bag was for my order. The total was $21.09. The fried seaweed rolls are simple, but tasty with the soy based dipping sauce. It’s filled with vermicelli. They gave us two complimentary pork dumplings as well. My hubby said the dumplings weren’t bad. The spicy chicken was tasty, lean meat for sure. The sauce had a slight kick, hint of sweet and quite flavorful. More meat and less onions would have been better. The dish is yummy. The cubed radish kimchi and the kimchi were decent and were also complimentary.More

I have been eating here for five year's now. Would come here with my daughter often. We both love the spicy beef soup. Not sure of the proper name of the dish, but it is delicious. Service is great. Love this restaurant.

Good food, even for my picky partner. She had the beef with rice, cucumber, spinach, bean sprouts (made with no egg for her). I had the shrimp in garlic sauce. The kimchi was spicy and delicious. The accompanied side dishes are fabulous. Kimchi, potatoes, a...pickled dish, spicy tofu, and spicy cucumber(?). The veggie fried dumplings are fabulous. They are a must have!! I look forward to trying more good dishes from here.More

This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. The building is older, but the service was very quick and super friendly. We enjoyed our meals and did not feel like we were being rushed as you often do when you are out dining....They offered some nice deals at lunch.More

This place serves fantastic Korean food with a number of veggie options! Don't go by the exterior looks of the place, it is a simple family run venture, serving good food and great service. They have a number of hot soups, bibimbaps (rice bowls) and...stir fry like dishes. The waitress was knowledgeable, spoke good English and was quick to point out the veggie dishes on the menu. She was particularly mindful of letting me know the ones which have fish sauce or the like. The dishes come with a variety of pickled veggies and tofu. Will definitely return!More

I've been going to Hana Korean for the past few years since living and working in Ypsilanti. I've also been to other Korean restaurants and bbq's around the area including Seoul Garden, and Hana is my absolute favorite. In addition to being affordable and having...a very friendly staff, the food is SO good. The vegetarian dumplings are the best dumplings I've ever tasted. And I've tried A LOT of dumplings. I've eaten inside a handful of times, but I often get the food to go and eat in my office. I usually get the pork bokkeum, made extra spicy. Their lunch specials are super cheap, although I often order the dinner special just for the delicious sides of kimchi. I can't recommend this place enough.More

The first warning I think is the location of the restaurant; it is the proverbial hole-in-the wall which leaves much to be desired by way of atmosphere, but if the food is fantastic and a good value, this can be overlooked. Upon entrance, I was...greeted; the waitress was very warm and inviting and attentive. No one else was in there except for one couple and this was prime dinner time - although on a weekday night. The food was definitely pricey (because I have had much more affordable Korean), but the portion was generous. I ordered the Kalbi and it came with the traditional banchan. I had enough for lunch the next day. Overall, it was fine but I have had lots better. In summation, the food is average, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere is non-existent. If you have a craving, this will meet it - but I think ordering to go (assuming you can bring banchan) is the way to go.More

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch for the first time. We are really unfamiliar with Korean food and the waitress helped us navigate the menu. Everything we ordered was awesome! We had so much food left over I was excited to get...into it again the next day. I highliy recommend this place. Friendly staff, can accomodate large parties and clean!More

If I am looking for great Korean food, I go to Seoul Garden in Ann Arbor. If I am looking for a quick fix, Hana Korean is another good option and is a bit less expensive. I visited last week and enjoyed the Chop Chae,...although my favorite dish is Dolsot Bibimbap. The restaurant has a limited lunch menu that offers a robust lunch portion at a very reasonable price. Some options are as cheap as $6.50 which includes a side of rice and a healthy portion of meat. Dinner menu items are a bit more in line with what I pay at other Korean restaurants. The panchan was fresh and delicious. Particularly the Kakdugi, which I found to be crunchy, spicy and just tart enough for my palate. The kimchee was good as well. For the price, the lunch menu is a deal. Definitely worth the trip if you need a Korean fix and don't want to break the bank.More

I don't live in this area. Heard of this restaurant from a friend. We came around 2:00pm. It's pretty empty at the time, so the service is fast. Ordered 4 different dishes and shared between family members. We all enjoyed the dishes. They were very...good and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely will come back again.More

I live not too far from Hana and it's so awesome. Their food is excellent, freshly made and well priced, around $10 per plate. This is definitely meant to be family style. Get a few dishes to share. I would say this is the best...Korean food I've ever had. And their small side dishes are out of this world. Go on Saturday and they have a special potato that they only serve on Saturdays. Not open on Sundays. It is family run, so if you go at dinner time, please be patient with the service. Their food is worth the wait. Suggestions: Spicy Squid (mildy spicy and a little sweet); spicy crab soup (very spicy); Korean short ribs; Japchae (clear noodles with veggies and Korean beef; can be made vegetarian); tofu in black bean sauce (vegetarian); veggie dumplings; Korean pork chopsMore

Don't let the exterior or interior fool you. GREAT FOOD!! I have been dining at Hana for over close to 20 years - wish I had known about it when I attended nearby EMU. This is the place where I want to dine for my...birthday every year (and have!). Consistent quality food every time. This is a Mom & Pop shop and we love to support small family owned businesses such as this. My favorite is the Beef Bulkgogi and the hot & spicy chicken wings - YUM!More

Upon seeing the outside of this place we almost turned and left before we entered. We wanted some lunch and were disappointed to find out that they only serve dinner on the weekends. We got up to leave since we didn't want to an average...of $12 per plate for lunch. Our server said they only have dinner on weekends and we said we didn't want to spend that much on lunch. She reached for a lunch menu and said it was okay we could have lunch. Lunch prices average $6 and that was great! The lunch menu is very limited. About 8 dishes to pick from. The dinner menu is much larger. I ordered pork bulgogi and my girlfriend had the chicken (?) (can't remember the name). Both meals were good size and yummy. We did see a dinner serving and it was huge! Lots for your money! The playing of the food was nothing spectacular but the food quality made up for it. We will be back!!More
