My beer-making son is coming to visit from California, so I made a foray to The Oaks Cafe because it has a reputation as The Place for craft beer in the neighborhoods south of Detroit. It was OK -- the selection doesn't compare to the places in California where my son took me, but nobody will go away thirsty. We... More

Did a Wyandotte Pub Crawl and happened to stumble in to this Pub. Not personally a big beer drinker but if you are interested in some crazy named odd tasting beers might be just for you. Staff was pretty cool but place could have been cleaned up better. Bar was sticky and too dark of atmosphere for my taste.

Stopped in with friends on a Friday night. Good craft beer offerings and signature drinks. The burgers are tasty and huge. Local bar feel friendly staff.

I would definitely give the Oak Cafe 5 stars for ambiance, cleanliness, well stocked jukebox, knockout audio system. However, coming from the craft brewery capital of the world I was disappointed that my New Belgium was flat. I ordered Fat Tire which came with a minimal head no lace and was flat. Fat Tire did not survive transport from Fort... More

A nice small neighborhood bar with a modern twist with a large, diverse selection of craft beers. Although it was pretty quiet when I was there I hear that it is very busy on the weekend. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was not impressed with there 'house special' corned beef sandwich but I would plan to try them... More

We visit this place each time we return to the area to visit family. Sure, the surplus of craft beer choices is worth the trip alone, but it's the whole experience that keeps us returning. Both my husband and I ordered our favorite burger, the Black Russian. Done to perfection, tasty ground round burger, a side of chips and help... More

The burgers are very good, and cooked the way I and my wife like them. A very large selection of beers. We like to go for happy hour between 3 & 6 but we usually stay longer. Melissa is one of the best bartenders we have had serve us. She pours a nice cold 22 oz Killians :-) . We... More

One suggestion if you have never been to oak and want to eat, Go for early lunch! Burgers are good, cooked as ordered, wide selection of beers. Priced comparable to other pubs in the Downriver area. Place is small, so friday and saturday nights are packed.
