Great Value, Great food, Great Egg Rolls!

China Star has Great food at very reasonable prices and friendly staff. One of the biggest reasons I drive past dozens of Chinese resturants to go here though, is the Egg Rolls. While most have gone to egg rolls filled with cabbage, China Star Egg Rolls have bean sprouts inside. They are Fantastic and worth the drive! The dining room has recently reopened too!

Do Yourself a Favor

We had not been here in a few years as we had moved away. Jane (the owner) called us by name when she saw us. The experience was like stepping back in time. Pleasant staff and they still have cloth napkins and tablecloths. Our food, Gai Kow and Orange Chicken were excellently prepared and presented. The restaurant is over 50 years old but conceals its age so well.

our family has eaten here for years. dine in and tak out. almond chicken is everyones favorite. egg rolls are outstanding. my wife cant get enough pork fried rice. very friendly service. ask for Wendy. sign up for the rewards club for regular discounts

I spent 65 dollars for food that was nasty tasting food was greasy and the oil was bad i called the manager and basically told me to prove it i didnt get what I ordered and you would think for the prices they charge food would be good! I wont eat there again had to throw everything out smdh

Dish water would taste better

Ordered some egg drop soup with a couple of other items and it was TERRIBLE. It had no flavor at all and I will never order from them again which is a shame because it used to be one of my favorites.

Very disappointed

Been a fan since they opened. Cry aunt and uncle would come from Warren, MI to eat here it was so good. My dau-in-law picked up some food last night and the quality was truly lacking. Fried rice was extremely dry, no green onions, hardly and pork--choked on it several times because of the dryness. Won ton soup tasted old and I was given crackers instead of the usual croutons (or whatever they are called). Crab Rangoon was tasteless. I will not be ordering from here anymore! What happened to your wonderful quality?

We always eat here when visiting the area and they have the best Chinese food ever! Their almond chicken is great and served just as requested. Good prices, good service, good food.

My favorite Chinese Restaurant

After 19 years in the area this is still our go to Chinese restaurant. Very consistent, great food, great service & prices whether dining in or picking up. Our favorite is Kung Po Shrimp. Veggie Spring rolls are sooooo good. We also like their Egg Drop, Won-ton and Hot & Sour Soup, Crab Rangoon, Almond Chicken. Enjoy!

👎Seriously, I think dog food would taste better. I eat shrimp egg food young from multiple Chinese restaurants. China Star could use a new cook. Shrimp were burnt old and hard. The patties looked old and had a grayish green color, which is not normal. It looked like mold. Also there were barely any shrimp. What a RIP off. MY FAMILY & I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN! IT TASTED SO GROSS. POLITE STAFF AND GOOD SIERRA MIST IS THE ONLY thing you you find here. FYI last time we ate there my family member ran to the parking lot to puke. Maybe a health inspection is way overdue. What a waste of my hard earned money.👎

The food was hot. It did take a little time to get it. That waitress not exactly friendly. Price was a little expensive. $11.25 for 1 meal. It was just ok, but not sure if it was good enough for this price.

Family Annual Picnic at Bloomer Park

Although Bloomer Park is quite some distance from where I live, I'm really glad that the family social committee chose Bloomer Park in Rochester Hills for our family picnic. The park is very beautiful, clean and up to date. Each pavillion has a very clean, fully equipped bathroom. There are a lot of activies for the youngsters to do. Each section of the park have a playground area. I think this is a good idea; that way the children do not have to venture away to search out other areas to play.

Consistently good chinese food

Have been coming here for many years and am glad to say that China Star Palace's food is always good and consistent. Some places you go once or twice and like it and then the next time, it isn't the same. You'll never run into that here. I love their Almond Boneless Chicken. Great place, great food, and great management.
