I was traveling with my 90 year old aunt who recently had oral surgery. The waitress was very helpful with meal suggestions. The pot roast sandwich was very good. I love the atmosphere here. My only negative was the floor was tacky to walk on. Tables were clean, though.

I have eaten here twice, both times very positive experiences.
Food is good, hits the spot, price was fair.
The place has lots of booths and they can pull tables together to accommodate larger groups, that’s more of a first come first served scenario though.
The decor fits the name, lots of wooden booths and taxidermy.
The place is about to go under a renovation, rumour is it will be a wholesale change, honestly hope not, it’s fairly unique and not many spots like this next.
Summary: good food, great staff, and prices fairly.

While visiting our son for the weekend, he suggested we go to lunch here. It did NOT disappoint! The pot roast sandwich was amazing and my husband's burger he said was one of the best he's had anywhere! The place was very clean, service was awesome and staff was super friendly. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was a part of a motel, Quality Inn next door. There was also a nice little gift shop there as well.
I ordered a light lunch of a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup and a half sandwich of turkey, cheese and ham I believe. This light lunch was just enough and very tasty. My husband ordered a light order of Roast beef that came with a veggie and mashed potatoes and gravy. He really enjoyed it. The lemonade was very good too. The wait staff did a great job and food was out within about 10 minutes. Definitely will go back when in the area.

Like many a traveller we saw the signs and we came. Too bad we did. The ambiance was fun and the staff was friendly. The sausage plate was literally swimming in grease, the potatoes were dripping with it. The burger was average. The coleslaw was uninspired. Here is the reason it gets only one star. We got 20 minutes down the road and the meal was ready to come out - and come out it did - quite violently. We both had to rush into the restroom of a store to evacuate in a hurried emergency situation. In fact, the husband was in there a good half an hour his problem was so bad. Now you might be thinking, 'How do they know it was THAT meal?' and I will tell you. I had just driven overnight to pick my husband up from work and we were on the way home and so had not had a meal in common before that one and we both were overcome at the same time! So yeah - best to avoid the Lumberjack restaurant in our opinion folks.

Stopped in on our way home. Loaded ranch fries are to die for. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. Made sure our food was good and our drinks full. We had the hamburger and it’s was juicy and cooked just as we ordered. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough and will definitely make a point to stop here on our travels past West Branch.

Yum! Perfect hearty breakfast to start our day. Sausage links were 300% better than the skinny stuff you get a other interstate breakfast spots. Staff and servers couldn’t be sweeter. Bring some cash for a cute bear souvenir or hand scrub!

Have eaten here many times for all meals. Used to be the stop-over when traveling north & now a fave when I come to town as I have moved into the area. The atmosphere & gift shop are fun & even with co-vid sitting, they stepped up to serve as long as they could. Never a bad meal, great service & no complaints. Lots of choose from on the menu, full bar & adjacent to the hotel. Don't forget to stop in when hungry.

Our food was great. Excellent flavor and portion size was enough to bring home. Yum. Our service by an older man was less than stellar. He acted like we were a burden. We are not high-maintenance people. He seemed to be crabby with fellow workers. The other workers were GREAT!

We stayed at the Quality Inn and needed to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. We've been here many times so I thought I'd try something a little different. I got the Western 3 egg omelet breakfast. It was enough for two or three. Our waitress was Vicki and she did a wonderful job in servicing us.

Got the blue burger. Not a fan. Way over cooked and seemed like frozen small meat patty. Not sure if it had been frozen. The cole slaw was not to good either. Sorry must of caught it on a bad day

We stopped in on our way to the upper peninsula. I had the pot roast. My wife had the Reuben. Meals were good. Service was fast and friendly. They also have a gift shop as well. It’s a nice stop off for dinner. We would gladly come again in the future.

Went for breakfast. We live in bay county and always stopped there for their delicious breakfast food for many years as we traveled north. Was so disappointed to learn that they no longer serve breakfast.😞😞

It did take some time to get a table free, but it was definitely worth the wait! This is an extremely cozy place with excellent food and great service !

They are closed Tuesday & Wednesday FYI. Service was good and food was very good. They start with homemade bread and I had onion soup and the maple glazed pork loin which was tender and tasty and the soup was also quite good. My husband liked his burger. We would go back if in the area again.
