Staying at a hotel behind this restaurant, and the four of us thought we would go there for dinner It was not good We ordered chili cheese fries, which were absolutely horrible The long skinny fries were over cooked hard and close to room temperature...and there was hardly any chili on them and the flavor was just not there and neither was the cheese I ordered a black bean burger, which was so soggy as to be a gelatinous mess sitting on the bun and it was cold My wife had a half a Cobb salad, which was OK but it’s hard to mess up salad The other person at the table had mac & cheese with pulled pork and you could’ve measured the pulled pork with a microscope although he said the flavor was OK So despite our best judgment we went there for breakfast in the morning I mean, how can you mess up breakfast, right? Well, they did Three of us had the breakfast special, which was half order of biscuits and gravy with two eggs and hashbrowns All of our breakfasts arrived cold Scrambled eggs were obviously something that had been pre-cooked or maybe even was bought already made because they were more like egg jerky than scrambled eggs To top everything off, my wife found a decent size piece of plastic in her hashbrowns, which was obviously from the bag that they had come in and the cook didn’t take care or the time to make sure that no plastic got into the food and it got served that way When we pointed it out to the waitress, she seemed surprised, but offered no apology If you are in this area, there is an Applebee’s within walking distance for dinner and a Tim Hortons if you wanna grab something in the morning, but avoid this place because there is a real problem in the kitchenMore

I won't comment on the restaurant itself but the LumberJack Catering arm is a joke as far as I'm concerned. After months of in-person and phone contact with them for my event they never got back to me with final menu and pricing even after...I called and said I had a deadline looming. To paraphrase their catering coordinator - "the chef hasn't given me the info yet but I'll get with him on Thursday". That was 25 days before the event - and I've never heard back from them. No update... no sorry but we can't make it happen... no nothing! Needless to say, I had to scramble to find alternative meal offerings for the weekend event. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!More

Nice restaurant attached to the Quality Inn. Food was good and staff was friendly. You get a percentage off coupon if you stay at the hotel, which is nice.

Seated right away. Service was well paced. Food was fresh and appeared to be made in house with Michigan based products when possible. Everything was excellent in flavor and appearance.

This restaurant was a part of a motel, Quality Inn next door. There was also a nice little gift shop there as well. I ordered a light lunch of a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup and a half sandwich of turkey, cheese and ham I...believe. This light lunch was just enough and very tasty. My husband ordered a light order of Roast beef that came with a veggie and mashed potatoes and gravy. He really enjoyed it. The lemonade was very good too. The wait staff did a great job and food was out within about 10 minutes. Definitely will go back when in the area.More

We have eaten there before and it was great. Our meal was barely warm and not worth the money. Prices are way too high for the meal given. Will not be back anytime soon,

Have eaten here many times for all meals. Used to be the stop-over when traveling north & now a fave when I come to town as I have moved into the area. The atmosphere & gift shop are fun & even with co-vid sitting, they...stepped up to serve as long as they could. Never a bad meal, great service & no complaints. Lots of choose from on the menu, full bar & adjacent to the hotel. Don't forget to stop in when hungry.More

Like many a traveller we saw the signs and we came. Too bad we did. The ambiance was fun and the staff was friendly. The sausage plate was literally swimming in grease, the potatoes were dripping with it. The burger was average. The coleslaw was...uninspired. Here is the reason it gets only one star. We got 20 minutes down the road and the meal was ready to come out - and come out it did - quite violently. We both had to rush into the restroom of a store to evacuate in a hurried emergency situation. In fact, the husband was in there a good half an hour his problem was so bad. Now you might be thinking, 'How do they know it was THAT meal?' and I will tell you. I had just driven overnight to pick my husband up from work and we were on the way home and so had not had a meal in common before that one and we both were overcome at the same time! So yeah - best to avoid the Lumberjack restaurant in our opinion folks.More

We stayed at the Quality Inn and needed to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. We've been here many times so I thought I'd try something a little different. I got the Western 3 egg omelet breakfast. It was enough for two or three....Our waitress was Vicki and she did a wonderful job in servicing us.More

Got the blue burger. Not a fan. Way over cooked and seemed like frozen small meat patty. Not sure if it had been frozen. The cole slaw was not to good either. Sorry must of caught it on a bad day

We stopped in on our way to the upper peninsula. I had the pot roast. My wife had the Reuben. Meals were good. Service was fast and friendly. They also have a gift shop as well. It’s a nice stop off for dinner. We would...gladly come again in the future.More

The bigfoot omelette was really good. Didn't care for the hash browns though. French toast and pancakes were also very good. We would return.
