We visited twice in one week.

I had family visiting from California. No good deli in their area. We took them to stage deli for brunch one day and they insisted on going back another day for lunch. Food and service was excellent. We enjoyed a variety of breakfast foods and corn beef sandwiches. Both the regular and decaf coffee were delicious. Only constructive criticism that I have is that they should serve a variety of pickles on the table.

Can't go wrong at Stage Deli

I admit I forgot about this well known local deli. Shame on me. The food, atmosphere, and service are all top notch. The menu is expansive and you can count on a delicious meal no matter what you choose.

Best Deli on the Planet!

Being stuck inside these days amazing food is one of our only pleasures. The Stage Deli delivers. Yes they are more expensive. Just like Burns steak house is more expensive than the Outback. You get what you pay for. Great people serving amazing food during a time we need them the most. The sandwiches are great but you have to try everything. The meat knish is insane. Everything in the deli counter you should try.

Not as good as I remembered

I would rather have kept the memory from 20 years ago. Food was awful. Chopped liver was watered down and virtually tasteless; mini-sandiwches were "just ok", other dishes were also "just OK". Won't every go back.

Ronk1000, we are sorry to hear you did not enjoy. Our chopped liver is sold out every day and is one of the most popular items on our menu. It is made with a few simple, quality ingredients....water is not one of them. Perhaps your 20 years in the desert has distanced your appreciation of this delicatessen oasis.

Good but Expensive

The food is good but pricey and for me there are other delis I’d go to first because of that. The matzo ball soup is impressive looking in size but was just fair in taste. My corned beef sandwich was very good.

Great Deli.

Very good Deli Jewish stile. Lots of great options on the menu. Restaurant is beautifully decorated and very comfortable seating. There are outside spaces. Service was fantastic. Food was served at perfect temperature and beautifully plated. Portions are very nice. There is also a Deli counter where you can purchase great variety of food items.

Great Deli - Great Choices if you Don’t eat Deli

Best Dinty Moore ever!!! My husband hasn’t been here in 5 years and the Dinty Moore is still outstanding! If he could have licked the plate and his fingers - he would have. I got the veggie - cauliflower- tacos with the Spanish rice and beans that come with it on the side. The cauliflower was great. Seasoned well. At issue was the beans. They looked like they had been sitting in that plate / dish all day. Hence the 4 instead of a 5. Great choices for a person who doesn’t eat deli.

Bad attitude and service start at the top.

Stage Deli always misses the mark in terms of service and attitude in my opinion. I stopped going to Stage years ago because of that. Today, because a friend wanted to meet there...I figured, I'd give them another chance. Same poor service and bad attitude as I remembered. They acted like they were doing us a favor, allowing us to have lunch there. Stage's ownership need not worry...I'll never be back.

Be nicer to your employees!

Sad to say I saw the owner of the company LOUDLY berate an employee in the dining room and asked him to take it to the kitchen as we were trying to enjoy a meal. I was told this was typical behavior. The manager/owner didn't even apologize to me. Food is always good, wait staff great, but never going back!

Hi Kelly, thanks for your review. We have investigated thoroughly and determined that this event simply did not occur. Our close, well-knit staff have each been with us an average of 10 years, with some breaking 35 years. Hardly consistent with the environment you described. We strive to work with quality, integrity and respect for all. And while we all are constantly improving, berating is simply not on our menu. All the best!

They used to be the best....

I have been there 5 times and have yet to eat something I like. An example would be French Fries with chili and cheese. The cheese was not melted and the chili was stiff.

WARNING... Shockingly rude, and soggy food to boot!

Waited, and waited and waited... so I suggested to the cashier (who was a man) that they could use more help behind Deli Counter (long wait just to pickup order) OR consider a change their process how carry out orders are handled if pre ordered. He was immediately rude! I use a cane to walk and called ahead so i wouldnt have to wait as its hard to stand for long .... and i was waiting behind people who were just placing orders. That's why people call ahead... so as to NOT have to wait . HE was sarcastic and rude, and suggested that I find him help. He could have recognized my having to wait and either apologized or just be sympathetic if nothing else... He actually appeared to want to make me feel bad for even mentioning it to him....as it appeared it was a bother to him. This guy should not be front line as cashier let alone employed. I suggested his process for "ready" food could maybe just bypass the same line for these just starting out.. so that when customers CALL AHEAD and patron their store via takeout, they are given consideration and not waiting behind folks who just walked in to the deli to order. He didnt care at all that was clear. So after waiting all this time, food was awful. The buns were soggy, french fries soggy ... So you get two soggy sandwiches for $33 - We wont ever order again or patron this restaurant, and we will share experience with everyone we can. SHOCKING!!!! There are many great restaurants in West Bloomfield... who value patrons and good service... this is NOT one of them.

We are profoundly joyful for the respect and consideration our guests provide for our hard working staff while we (and the entire restaurant industry for that matter) hire up to full strength in this challenging time. While the Pandemic was horrifying for so many, one of the good things that has resulted is a re-discovered appreciation for life and the people we share it with.
