Stopped at the Stow Store and Cafe for supper tonight. My dining companions (family) were delighted with their Caprese Sandwich (pick your own basil from the garden!), corn chowder, and seafood chowder. The chowders came with nicely warmed rolls, the mark of good restaurants. I...got the cheeseburger with beef from the farm up the road and local lettuce and tomato......heavenly! It came with about 10 pickle slices, also very good! I topped my dinner off with a serving of fly fishing fudge ice cream! The folks who ordered before us RAVED about the Hungarian Goulash. I have it on good authority that their baked goods are delicious too!More

The Stow Corner Store never disappoints. From genuinely friendly and welcoming owners/staff to fresh and delicious menu options this place is worth an out of the way trip to try. I suggest any one of their signature pizzas, but with a diverse menu there is...sure to be something for everyone. If you happen to find this gem just know you've stumbled upon a local secret...welcome to the club! P.s. use your blinkah! And enjoy the drive :-)More

This small corner store near the NH border has an incredible menu and serves amazing food. Some people arrive in their Sunday best and others are hot and sweaty just off the trail. It doesn't matter, you are in for very tasty food in proportions...that will satisfy the worst hunger. I always order the chowder which is rich and buttery and full of seafood. The wraps and sandwiches are stuffed with tender, juicy meat and all kinds of interesting and wonderful vegetables and cheese. The restaurant is comfortable and friendly with people coming and going or eating together at 2 communal tables. I always have a laugh 'cause the locals tease one another and know how lucky they are to have access to this fabulous food. We drive a long way to get to this place but it is definitely the finest kind.More

Enjoying an NH maple tour of sugar shacks near the Maine border, we needed a lunch stop. The Cold River Cafe ya the Stow Corner Store delivered not only hearty but delicious! Their menu is extensive - encompassing seafood chowder, sandwiches, rice bowls, beef and...veg burgers. Their award winning chili served with blue corn chips was great! Bathroom is a pot-o-pot, but this is a tiny place. There were many homemade and brought in (cheese cake!) desserts on display, but we were looking forward to more maple treats and so passed them up. This is your place for lunch if you’re in the area!More

Keep going here. Places like this are dwindling in remote areas. So happy to have experienced the high quality food and service. Limited seating but eat in your vehicle if you have to.

Just out on a drive and came upon this place. You could smell the savory smell of something good at the door. The chili was the best I've ever had.

We went here for Breakfast on 8/26/18. Great place, great food, everything yummy and homemade. Liked it so much we went back for dinner. Can't wait until we are back in the area again to go back. Crumb cake is absolutely the BEST!

A group of friends and I stopped at this perfectly charming cafe/corner store and could not have been any happier with the experience. The staff offered above-and-beyond service and the reasonable prices and varied menu were incredibly appreciated. Not to mention everything was had was...stellar. That includes the award-winning chili and the 8-cheese mac'n'cheese. This place is a 11 out of 10 and I'll always be sure to recommend it to anyone who ventures up to Maine. AMore

Everything is sooooo good. Had their seafood chowder today and it was hugely filled with haddock, lobster, clams and crab with just enough liquid to call it a chowder. Brownie for dessert. All their stuff is made right there. Can't say enough good things about...the people there, the food and everything!More
