Great Indian food, good quality, variety and service. We have been there a few times and the food has been great every time. They have great Punjabi as well South Indian food. Recommended

We went in as a group of 6. Ordered tandoori dishes paneer and chicken. Both the groups who consumed it complained - paneer was full of color (it looked unhygienic), and chicken dish was overlooked/look refried. order of pakora was disappointing as well - uncooked. We complained to the owner and he suggested that the color is edible so you... More
I had a great opportunity on our cruise ship to enjoy Indian food. Once back home, I made my way to Ashoka and was very happy that I did. They offer a buffet lunch with a nice selection of meat, veggies and soup. Everything was very tasty and the restaurant was clean and busy.
I had chilli chicken and biryani today. Both of them were horrible. Biryani looked so messy ,never had anything worse than this.Would not recommend.I bet someone can learn on youtube will cook better food.
I don't like Indian food, but a group wanted to go here and since they told me it was a buffet I figured that there was certainly something on the menu that I could eat that wasn't covered in curry. No such luck. So if you're not a fan of Indian food or dingy atmospheres, I would recommend you convince... More
We had three different entrees and all were very good. Service was fast and attentive. Had the "tali", would not order that again. Not very flavorful. Would return to dine here.
This is a popular place for buffett and dinner. I took many of my colleagues to this restaurant for lunch and everyone liked it. Buffett has many varieties - they serve South Indian dishes sometimes.
Being a Brit I'm always on the lookout for decent Indian food. Whenever I'm in Troy I try to arrange to stop by for the buffet lunch. The a la carte menu is good too, with a wide variety of dishes and if you can't find what you want, it's always worth asking.
Travelling thru Detroit so went to Ashoka Indian cuisine , which had tasteless food... Nothing was yummy . When you enter the restaurant front lady was kind a rude .. No smiles no greeting nothing professional.. Food presentation was that bad that They put stickies for naming various food items in buffet serving area... No one cares about refilling up... More
I LOVE eating at Ashoka. Their dishes are excellent and service is top notch. I love that when I go in there to eat the waiters remember me and know what dishes I like to start with and are always quick to keep your water glass filled. If you can get here for lunch their buffet is great as you... More
