Pro's: Family owned, real cream instead of non-cream thickeners. Con's: Sweeter than necessary for such high-quality ice cream, would be better with more-fruit/less-syrupy flavorings. I get the butter pecan, since the saltiness helps to offset the sweetness, but with many of the flavors, the sweetness overwhelms the wonderful creamy flavor that sets real ice cream apart from store brands. All the rumors you hear about Moomers are true!!! It was by far the best ice cream parlor we'd ever been to. The choices are plenty & we loved the flight option; especially great to try a variety of flavors. We decided to share a Big Bessie, I'd drive the 6 hours again to have one tomorrow! The best!

My husband and I recently visited Moomers and we tried a few different flavors of ice cream. I had salted caramel and German chocolate and they were to die for! So creamy and delicious!! If you're in the area, you must try their ice cream. You won't be disappointed!

Visiting Traverse City for the first time. Our server at one of the restaurants in town told us about Moomers. Well...that started a seven day straight Moomers episode. If they had Moomers in my home town, I would be a thousand pounds.

An evening stop for a bowl of some of the best ice cream anywhere, is a must if you are in the Traverse City area. Enjoy the quaint, peaceful stand while overlooking the dairy farm. You may even see a milk cow stealing an apple from the trees in the pasture!

With top national ratings you expect the best, and you get it here! Truly delicious homemade ice cream, from milk produced on the family farm next door. Lots of flavor choices, and although it was busy, the service was quick and friendly.
