This is for the resort, since I’ve posted before won’t let me post another. While I get that things have changed with Covid room should have at least had a better cleaning. Also room should have had trash emptied at least once during our three...day stay. Very disappointed, won’t be my first choice when returning to the area.More

We stopped here at the lounge a couple of times during our stay at the hotel, for drinks, and for a meal. The food was overall good for a restaurant; the dish sizes were also sizeable, and appreciated. There was also a surprisingly good whiskey...selection for a hotel bar; additionally, Will, the bartender for two nights during our stay, was excellent; very personable, and a great asset of the lounge. The option for taking drinks up to the room (and balcony) is always appreciated, as well!More

We have been here many times before, as we usually make a trip to Traverse City every year and we stay at the Parkshore Resort and eat in their lounge. The food was good, but we could not understand the pricing of the drinks. We...were amazed to see a charge of $1.50 for ice for each drink. I asked what I would be charged if I wanted ice water, and was told there is no charge, saying that of course they don't charge for ice. They said that the extra charge is for more liquor when I ask for it on ice. I just wanted ice in my drink - I didn't want more liquor. Another night I had a martini - up - with Absolut vodka. There was a charge for Absolut (even though Absolut usually isn't considered a premium vodka) and another charge for the same price for a martini. I asked what that charge was for and I was told it was for what else goes into a martini. What? A separate charge for a few drops of dry vermouth? If there was an upcharge for the vodka, it should be just an upcharge, not double the price. They couldn't give me an explanation, and kept saying they don't charge for ice, but we paid a lot for the ice we had in our drinks. We won't be back.More

Other than the view is about it for this place. Rooms could use some updating. And whatever you do don’t eat in their lounge. The surf N Turf was absolutely disgusting. Lobster tail was over cooked. Steak asked for medium... first time came out well...done, second time came out extra well done. After waiting over a hour to try and get my steak right. I gave up. My wife got the prime rib which was just a plate of fat after she got her 3 bites of meat from it. They gave me a little off of my meal but to be honest that whole meal should’ve been compensated. Worst food I’ve had in TC to date. And we’ve been coming here since I was a little boy. I’m 40 now.More

The property was very outdated and had an odd smell. It’s carpeted throughout so I think ripping it out would even do the trick. The decor is very outdated and looks like maybe no renovation since it was built, which adds to the old hotel...image. I would’ve given it a better review if service made up for it but as many personnel we passed in the hallway, non greeted us, first day of housekeeping- trash was removed and towels changed but it was not vacuumed or swept. Food crumbs were still on the table, water splash marks still on mirrors. And it wasn’t because we didn’t leave a tip because we left a generous one so it was even more disappointing. At night, people were hanging out in the beach area right in front of our rooms until 2 am both nights to a point other guests started yelling at them from their balconies. beer bottles and food waste was left on beach. It was still there past 9am. Next night different guests were enjoying the beach with streaming music from their device and same thing past 2am. I don’t call it very family friendly and if the hotel enforced their “quiet hours” better, we wouldn’t be hearing profanity into the night. Beautiful location, restaurant on site is convenient. Efficiency suite was great to have for full-size fridge and microwave. There are so many other options, would not go here again.More

Curtis is the absolute man. Friendly, helpful, personable. We are from Chicago and we can't wait to invite him to bars in our city. Highly recommend coming here for the purpose of seeing Curtis

I was excited by the menu but completely disappointed by the execution... the food was tolerable but not remotely good. The whitefish with “homemade coconut rum sauce” (basically maple syrup tinged water) was terrible. Service was good once they realized we were there to eat...(which unfortunately took over 10 minutes)More

College basketball on the TV's, but NOT a sports bar. Yes!!. We had fun, dinner/ drinks and we could hear hold a conversations without yelling. We started with the Shrimp bucket appetizer nice size shrimp but a little over cooked. We went with the Saturday...night special "Prime Rib" nice portion and tasty. The dinner salad was fresh crisp with lots of veggies. We will be back to try a something different.More

My wife and I are locals but have never been here. We were attracted by the signage out front (see photo). The drinks were generous but “best bartender” was not backed by the bar, drinks or the drink menu. The prime rib was good but...not exceptional. At one point the bartender and lone server, left the lounge, went outside and had a smoke (leaving the entire lounge devoid of any staff). Not a restaurant but maybe a fair lounge.More
