This place is located right on the way in and out of Empire. If you want to stop in for a drink and some snacks, a good choice. Yes, the wait staff are a bit disinterested, but, the food is quite good and the prices are great for the area. We stop in every year a few times and always... More

Well we stopped in last Thursday. Normally I wouldnt write a review but when service is enough to make me not want to return to an old favorite spot, I think it is warranted. Normally we have a smiling mid 30's server who is bouncing all over the restaruant caring and laughing with her customers. This last time she was... More

45 minutes for cold nachos and not a busy night. The waitress never came back and didn't care when we told her our food was cold. PBR was good!

Stopped here on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised. Reasonable priced beer & nice menu. The mexican dishes seem to be there specialy and our group enjoyed it very much. A little dark inside.

They have a very nice atmosphere which displays old farm tools and antiques. Food is good as it seems as the Mexican fare may stand out more. Service is okay, on most nights they have one server that serves the entire place and can get slammed. They do not have air conditioning so hot days this may not be the... More

My family went to the Hayloft for dinner. We got there at 7:30, and didn't get our food until 8:15. Our waitress never came over to refill our drinks, which were mainly waters, another waitress was flagged down. When our waitress did come with our food, she smelled like she had just taken a long smoke break. 3 of our... More

Stopped in after a hike in Sleeping Bear Dunes with friends for a beer and a burger. Service was fast and courteous, there were many choices for beers, which arrived cold, and the varied menu had something for everyone's taste. Burgers, although not outstanding, were good and everything was served for a fair price.

I've visited this place a few times when in the area. The country music is great and the atmosphere excellent, people are very friendly and the food is quite okay. I look forward to visiting again. So why the poor rating? There aren't enough waitresses and therefore the service is so slow that you'll want to walk before you die... More

The food was average. The menu is different. The atmosphere is unique. We are not sure we would go back.

Have lived in the area for years, but for some reason never really tried this place. Maybe because of the Country Western Theme. (Full disclosure I'm not a fan of Country or Western music). But the wife and I went for an early dinner (No Band) and the place wasn't real busy yet. We had heard they were know for... More
