I just love the homey ambiance of this little gem. I can always count on great, fresh seasonal vegetables and a truly wonderful entree. The chef is always more than accommodating with my requests due to a food allergy. I'm never disappointed and I think the waitstaff is fantastic. And those desserts are amazing!

This restaurant was the one main choice I made before even travelling. It's up the Mission peninsula a ways & close to several wineries. Sine whitefish is a Michigan staple, I decided on the whitefish dip. It was warm & served with bruschetta. Totally decadent & delicious!!! For my entree, I chose the duckling with cherry sauce, served with wild... More

After going to a couple of wineries we stopped in for lunch. The flowers outside were beautiful. We had a whitefish sandwich which was very good. Then we had an amazing piece of cherry cobbler which was suggested by, Sarah, our server who was very personable.

This is such a lovely place to stop for lunch when visiting the Mission Peninsula. We enjoy the gardens and art gallery as well as the delicious menu. We had the whitefish and found it perfectly cooked, very fresh. We split a cherry cobbler and were very glad that we'd ordered it, as it was the perfect blend of tart... More

We have been dining at Old Mission Tavern literally for decades. It is one of our favorite restaurants. However, on our most recent visit, there were some changes that surprised us. The food is still very good; however the white tablecloths that gave the place some class have been removed and the dining room now sports wooden tables. Not only... More

Family atmosphere and upscale food are complemented by fine service. Excellent fish dishes, especially whitefish and walleye.

We had dinner and enjoyed the food and service. We did not have a reservation however, we were seated in less than 15 minutes. The wine's offered were mostly local wine. I liked that they support the local businesses. We ordered the escargot which was served with a creamy garlic broth which we enjoyed. The broth was great for dipping... More

We were there over the time of the cherry festival, so everything had to have a cherry theme it seems. My excellent pan fried whitefish could only have been improved by leaving off the sweet cherry sauce, which was a one day thing I am sure. This restaurant is all by itself in the countryside at the end of the... More

We had been out on Old Mission doing some wineries and decided it was a whitefish kind of night. I'd heard the whitefish was delicious at Old Mission Tavern. Was that ever correct! They dredge their fish in a ground almond mixture and sauté it in butter. It was moist, dense, had a little crunch on the edges, and was... More
