We were there over the time of the cherry festival, so everything had to have a cherry theme it seems. My excellent pan fried whitefish could only have been improved by leaving off the sweet cherry sauce, which was a one day thing I am sure. This restaurant is all by itself in the countryside at the end of the... More

We had been out on Old Mission doing some wineries and decided it was a whitefish kind of night. I'd heard the whitefish was delicious at Old Mission Tavern. Was that ever correct! They dredge their fish in a ground almond mixture and sauté it in butter. It was moist, dense, had a little crunch on the edges, and was... More

A smaller restaurant which offers great food! The burgers are huge & delicious! I would also recommend the roast beef French dip...large sandwich with lots of meat...the soups are also very good...a reasonable place & great service!

Our salads were excellent and the staff was extremely attentive to our needs. The waiters and waitress were high energy and quickly restored tables to a first class presentation.

We had a lovely dinner with excellent service. They do not advertise it, nor is it on the menu, but if you arrive between 5:00 and 6:00pm they offer an early bird option. There is mention of it on their website. For $15 you get an entree with bread, starch, vegetable and cole slaw salad. The day we went, the... More

This is my favorite restaurant in TC. The food is always delicious and the service very friendly. Must have dessert is the cherry cobbler. Stroll through the art gallery before you leave.

This was by far one of the best places we ate during our 7-day stay in the Traverse Bay area. The menu offers fresh fish, nicely cooked, and served with fresh vegetables and potatoes or rice. One of the few places that keeps deep-fried, cheesy, saucy and fat-drenched food off the menu.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting Old Mission Lighthouse. What a find for us!! Our lunch was fabulous and reasonably priced. Staff was very attentive. We told others at our hotel about this place. Worth the drive. Will visit again next time we are in the area.

We have eaten here several times and we will be back any time we are in the area. Well worth the drive from Traverse City, and if you are visiting the wineries in the peninsula, than it's a must. Food is fantastic, prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is great.

We had an excellent dinner at the Tavern again. We were last here 5 years ago and it has not changed. The food was tasty and priced right and the service could not be better. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. My wife and I along with another couple all agreed when we are next in the area.
