I believe Flap Jack Shack should be number 1 in Traverse City. They have the best pancakes I have ever had. I love the cherry pancakes, but they are all awesome! When in the Traverse City area stop and try some! You will smile the rest of the day.

Our table had a variety of entrees and everyone was very happy with their meal. Our waitress Cassidy was on top of providing very good service to our group. If you want a breakfast that tastes like just good home cooking this is where you should go.

This place is a local favorite. If you go at the wrong time, you will be sorry. It was insanely slammed, and the long wait times were a major turn off for us. The lobby was packed, and the table turn over did not seem to be very fast. The food and value was decent, but first thing in the... More

The food was good. We all had different kinds of pancakes. All were good. The sausage and bacon was cooked perfectly. Bacon was crisp but not over cooked. They must time cook it because everyone's was the same. The But the star of the meat was the sausage. The sausage had a great taste. The reason it was the star... More

My husband and I went for breakfast this past spring. The restaurant was not at all busy. I ordered my eggs scrambled soft. From our table, we could hear every word spoken in the kitchen, which made the whole ordeal a little like improvisational theatre. Server specified to cook that the eggs needed to be scrambled soft. The cook gave... More

Stopped for breakfast with my wife and granddaughter and ordered eggs, hash browns and biscuits with sausage gravy. YUM! However, my wife had the flapjacks which were dry and very average. The wait staff was good and the food came in a timely manner.

We went here for a late breakfast, so we missed the rush. We had great service and the food was very good. We loved the retro look and the originality. There is a nice outdoor area and the restaurant sits on a hill so the view is very nice. I had the stuffed french toast with apple compote and my... More

This place often has a wait during peak times and seasons. The servers are terrific, but the kitchen can be a little slow so be prepared to wait. The omelets are very good, but the pancakes are only average. It is a decent breakfast place but nothing exceptional.

I ordered the stuffed hash browns, and they are to die for. The pancakes are really good, with lots of varieties. Eggs made to order are great. The wait staff is prompt and the atmosphere is good. Great family dining!
