Please check our website for current menus. Grande Mere Inn is a family owned and operated restaurant started in 1980 by Pete and Nancy Racine. The tradition of fine quality continues with their son Charley and his wife Tricia. The goal of the Racine's has always been to provide a pleasurable dining experience; providing high quality food, friendly service, and a stunning view of Lake Michigan.

This place is off the highway and overlooks Grande Mere State Park. Sunset views are breathtaking so make sure you call for reservations and request window.
The food is really great. Seafood options including blackened options are offered. Salad is fresh and vegetables are cooked to the likening.
Plenty of other options if you don’t like seafood.

Our first visit since Covid. What a fabulous experience. Debbie our server was the icing on the cake. Food presentation , taste and ambiance could not be better. I had the twin lobster tails that were incredible. Finished off the meal with carrot cake and of course their famous martinis. So looking forward to our next visit

My friend and I had dinner herre on a Thursday evening, Th place was pretty busy for a week night, but service was great. My friend had the swordfish, which I thought was good (I'd never had swordfish before). I had the crab stuffed shrimp, which was delicious. And to top it off, our table was near the large window facing Lake MI. Great view capped off a great dinner.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with dinner at Grande Mere. It's been a special place to us ever since our cousin first introduced it to us many years ago. Keep up the good work!

Loved Grand Mere Inn restaurant. Very busy even on a weeknight. Reservations recommended. Cordial staff. Delicious food. Supper club type atmosphere. Nice view from the windows. Benches outside with a view of the lake and prime sunset viewing. Definitely going again.

This is located off the freeway in the middle a small town. The place was full. Food was very good. Good seafood. Service was excellent. They easily seated a group of 8 and we had a very nice time. The view from the back of the restaurant is spectacular. This is one of the better places in the area.

HAVE BEEN GOING TO GRANDE MERE FOR 18 YEARS NOW. LOVE THE PLACE AND THE GREAT SERVICE YOU ALWAYS GET. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT. WAITRESES ARE ALWAYS

We called in a takeout order. We had the perch dinner and it was outstanding. The staff was very nice and courteous. We will be back on our return trip to Michigan.

Great service and food. Walleye is amazing as are the steaks. Actually the entire menu is great, and they have unique apps like blackened swordfish. Awesome atmosphere.

My oldest daughter and I had a rare "date night" - just her and me - in celebration of her 40th birthday. It was the first time either of us had been to Grand Mere Inn.
The food was excellent and the service even better, and that doesn't even mention the beautiful view of Lake Michigan from atop the bluff.
My daughter had filet mignon and said it was outstanding. I had THE BEST clam chowder I've ever eaten followed by walleye fillets. If it wasn't the best walleye I've ever had, it was 1-A. The "crab-stuffed mushrooms" we had as an appetizer was easily the worst thing we had, and it was excellent. Our one regret is that we did not order the "blackened swordfish" as an appetizer. :)
Suffice to say my daughter loved her 40th birthday dinner and I loved being able to give that to her. I'm taking the entire family to Grand Mere Inn for Christmas dinner, it was that good; and the "blackened swordfish" is going to be on the table. :)

This is a great OLD SCHOOL restaurant but the food is amazing!! The bar area is the best in my opinion. Great oysters, crab legs, lobster etc! The wine prices are pretty cheap and good quality!

The service is just like going to the home of a family member. The owner greets you has at least one joke that makes you ready fo a great experience. The oysters Rockefeller are not to be missed

We drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to celebrate a birthday of a friend. The location is great overlooking Lake Michigan. The service was top notch and the food selection was very extensive. It was difficult to narrow down what to end up with. My favorite the Filet was great perfectly done. I highly recommend Grand Mere for any occasion
