This place was suggested to us by family. I liked the idea that it was on a lake. Ee sat on a 2 tiered deck with a terrific view. The hostess Deb offered suggestions in all categories: entrees ,appetizers and desserts. She brought over warm yeast rolls. Chris our server was terrific. We had fried cauliflower bites to start. Hubby had the shrimp dinner and I had the 12oz ribeye. The beef was to die for, perfectly prepared with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. I was full-shared with hubby. **the food came out on HOT plates**. I really appreciated that. Too full for dessert, next time for sure.

Visited Clifford Lake Inn with friends for dinner in August 2022. Was very impressed with the building's historic character and lakefront view! The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining; there is also a full bar inside the restaurant building. The service was also very prompt, efficient, and friendly. I had the Cajun chicken tortellini; it was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back.

Great service, Awesome menu, Atmosphere with Sparky's Lounge was a lot of fun. They did have live music this night which I usually enjoy (He was Good) but it was way to loud to enjoy dinner with friends.

We were quickly seated with a nice view of the lake and the entertainment. We waited for the rest of our family to order. At 1:10 we put in our order for appetizers and drinks. The waiter was friendly and served our drinks within 10 minutes. We inquired about the appetizers at the 80 minute mark and we were told they were almost done. At 2:40, ninety minutes after ordering, the food came to our table. As soon as it came my grown son tried to stick his finger in the spinach/artichoke dip to see if it was hot. It had a film on it and was cold (not even warm). The chips were cold and stale. Nobody would eat them. The pretzel bites were hot but extremely salty even for pretzels. The owner asked us how things were and obviously didn't want to know the answer and did nothing to make it right. We had one beverage each, paid the hefty check, left still hungry and ordered $40 worth of wonderful pizza and bread sticks from BC pizza and ate them on our own lake.

The best part of the evening was our server who was very sweet and friendly, but that is the only positive thing about the entire experience.
We arrived at our reservation time and were seated in a back area of the restaurant. Felt like we were in the no server zone as no one came to our table. However, the table behind us which was seated after us had been seen by a server. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked the hostess where our server was, the response was “We are very busy, and someone will be there soon”. I understand being busy, but to have been seated and not even be served water is not a good start.
Drinks took about 30 minutes to arrive after being ordered, and our appetizer took even longer. Food showed up after we were there for over 2 hours. Some of it over cooked to the point of being almost inedible and the rice was undercooked. The ribs were so tough you almost needed a steak knife to cut and the salmon and mahi were both dried out from being over cooked. We should have left as we all were thinking because of the excessively long wait times for everything but had hoped the food would at least be worth the wait. It definitely was not!
If the staff cannot handle the volume of customers than they should not be seated or at a minimum compensated with something for the long wait. Not even an apology was given, only a poor excuse for bad service. Not sure how this restaurant has the good reviews other than it is one of the few in the area so there aren’t many choices.

Used to be a great spot, could not say that anymore. The absolute SLOWEST service I have encountered it quite some time. No lies, sat down at 630 - food came around 810. Server was not attentive, just not good anymore. Skip!

Where to I begin? Kellie, the owner did her best to make up for a total disaster from start to finish. The waitress was nice but very inept. We didn't see her for long lengths of time. We chose the fine dining area only to have a NARROW pathway next to our table and huge trays lifted over our heads constantly. This was a special anniversary dinner for my son and daughter in law. 20 years. Do not order Brussel sprouts or fish dip appetizers. Son and I ordered ribs only to find out they couldn't give us full racks 1/2 hour after we ordered. The corn on the cob was brown, cold baked potatoes, my husband's pork chops dry, the sauce was good thank goodness, daughters' fish slimy and her rice was HARD We asked for more bread THREE times and still never got it. The salmon my daughter in law got was wonderful but came out 20 min. after our meals. One out of five NOT GOOD. Kellie didn't charge us for the inedible dinners which was nice of her. She really is sweet. The place is charming. beautiful lake front, and there were many people there, so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt that some of the other food is decent. But we will never go back. I left very disappointed and frankly sad especially for my kids. We all were looking so forward to this evening. We can laugh about it now and remember it, but for all the wrong reasons.

Three of us went there for a casual dinner outing. We started with the CLI Mushrooms, and Crab Rangoon and both were super. Each of us had a sandwich for our main course, plus beverages, and were pleased.

What a fabulous lake side inn! We always have great meals here, sitting close to the lake! The service is exquisite and the chef is talented! Easy to find pescatarian options here and it is romantic to sit outside or inside for lunch or dinner!

We had an excellent prime rib dinner for Fathers Day. The food was excellent and the service was great. The restaurant has a very nice indoor as well as outdoor atmosphere.

I made a special trip just to enjoy Sparky's Lounge in December. I hope they do it again because I am still smiling about how cute the place was. The cocktails were clever and good. The food was good, too.

Clifford Lake In is located in a serene, peaceful location serving some of the best, thoughtful culinary creation we’ve ever seen. They’ve taken simple everyday ingredients to make extraordinary dishes. It’s surprising they’re not more renowned than they are. The kitchen, staff and ambience is perfect indoor and out. This is where you want to be.

Three of us had the steaks and they were very good. One had the hamburger and the child had the corn dogs. The corn dogs were unique in that they were smaller pieces. The mushroom appetizers are super. Go for them! Great service also.
