Visited with our three teen boys! Sit outside, great view! Good location, good drinks and food! Will be back.🙂

View and drinks are great! Food is bar food with a few fish dishes thrown in. I like that we could have a big group outside during Covid but overall food is disappointing. I love watching the boats and the view of the river though.

Nice waterfront restaurant and bar right on the water in South Haven. Excellent service and friendly, personable servers. Their drink and food prices are reasonable, considering their overhead on the water. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone visiting South Haven.

We waited a LONG time for our food, we sat in the blazing sun. But the Burgers were VERY good and the view is great being right on the river.

We just ate at the Idler tonight and was very disappointed. The food was terrible. The fish was very fishy, could not eat. The red skinned potatoes were a joke, boiled potatoes and no seasoning, just a side of butter, the kettle chips come from...a bag. It’s very sad that they could not fry a potato to make a chip and why would you serve those red skin potatoes like that, I am embarrassed for you. Listen, people work hard for there money, they do not like to waste it on poor quality, tasting food. If you can not serve good quality food... Do Not Serve Food!!!!! If you are hungry go somewhere else. If you want to have a cocktail in a nice atmosphere this is your place.More

Despite being extremely busy the service, food and view was worth every minute of the wait. This was our first stop in South Haven leaving us every reason to return. It was fantastical!! Wait staff was great, food was DELICIOUS.

Good food, eat outside. Enjoyed a casual meal. We had the citrus salmon and the combination bbq plate- both more food than we could eat. Rummmm Runner was good. We had a GREAT server. Our last night here was relaxing and good. On the water

The food was good and the prices were reasonable. My wife and I picked a spot that was tucked away but this led to a little longer wait for the food.

loved sitting outside overlooking the Friends Goodwill and having lunch. We had the Sweet Pepper Crab soup, gumbo, lobster roll and their famous S.H.I.T cocktail. The food was excellent, our waitress Caitlin was awesome, we're looking forward to going back as soon as possible.

This place took our reservation for 12--eight adults and four kids--for the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We were seated next to a group of 13 adults and kids, crammed into a small room downstairs that was neither clean nor prepared for our arrival. Our...server, working both large tables, was on her second day, doing her best, and was completely overwhelmed. The manager was minimally welcoming and spent much of his time busing tables. It took 45 minutes to get a round of drinks, nothing complicated, some beers, some wine, some soft drinks. My iced tea was weak, served two-thirds full in a single-serve plastic cup, with no sweeteners anywhere to be found. Had it not been Sunday evening, and 12 of us, we would have left then. The food, when it finally arrived, was distinguished only by its lack of distinction. I had one of the worst sandwiches ever--fatty brisket on an inedible roll with what looked like Cheez Whiz sitting on top. The fried fish was limp and greasy. Fish tacos were terrible. My friend did enjoy his Caesar salad with shrimp; the exception that makes the rule. Otherwise, it was a fiasco. Our poor server did her best, but the group of 13 was ordering big fancy drinks all evening and she was simply out-gunned. This restaurant had been recommended by a good friend who, unbeknownst to me, hadn't been there for five years. The bar upstairs was packed, If you're in South Haven looking for a bar on the river, go here. If you're looking for a meal, go somewhere else.More
