Ok, so this place had the best cakes n stuff back in the day when I was growing up. The. Best. My younger brother and I looked foward dearly to our Golden Brown treats we took to the beach to eat. Our birthdays meant we...were getting custom cakes and they were always SO GOOD. The decorating was always next level artistry (at least to us it was/is for me). For my 39th birthday I stopped in for some buttercookies and a cupcake, just a taste of the good old days. I was not disappointed and neither was my hubby who can't keep his hands out of the deliciously light and buttery buttercookies. We’ve just visited this bakery for the first time. Tara, an employee behind the counter was absolutely the rudest woman I’ve encountered in all of south haven Michigan. I patiently watched as she snapped at various customers asking questions. I asked a question about what...I thought were samples on top of the counter and was also snapped at. As another employee opened the cash register to cash me out, Tara rudely reached in front of the second employee to grab a roll of change. Never said excuse Me or can you hand me the change etc. such a turn off for customers to come in and see this type of employee. I felt extremely bad for the other woman who had to work with her. The second employee however was extremely friendly, courteous and had taken the time to assess all Of our needs. As for “Tara” she is proof that customer service is no longer common or expected. This business can immediately improve by getting g rid of employees like this.More

The smell of fresh baked goods is a nice way to start your morning. The assortment to choose from may be overwhelming. The staff here is great and appreciates our business.

Got doughnuts for me and my co-workers. They where stale. Not soft and fresh like newly made doughnuts. Took the doughnuts back and returned them. When the girl behind the counter was picking out the new doughnuts for me she was touching them all to...see which ones where soft enough to give to me. Those where stale also! This isn't the first time I've had this happened here. The doughnuts from Wal-Mart and Meijers are way better.More

Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Basic breakfast that I could make at home. Having Fox News playing on the tv in the cafe was unfortunate.

The bakery/donut section was great. Lots of fresh variety first thing. They seem to have a short line that moves quickly. The breakfast cafe was another matter though. Hospital cafeteria all the way. Seemed to be a local older men hang though.

We stopped here after a late lunch at Clementines, and before continuing our trip back home. The bakery section had a nice selection of cookies and bakery from which to choose (of which we purchased several options). The staff person was very friendly and accommodating....This little episode gave us several days of tasty memories from our South Haven visit.More

Let me start by saying, the wonderful ladies who work here are the greatest. The system in place just isnt working. They need more help, a better way of getting food out faster. The wait time is very long and people walk out. The food...is great and very reasonable. Management can you just work on that.More

Had breakfast at this place on a Saturday morning and really enjoyed it. Everyone was lined up buying baked goods - which looked amazing. Breakfast is ordered in line on the other side. Staff was very informative when ordering and brought us our food in...no time to our table. The food was quite tasty, expensive and service was quick. I would return to this establishment.More
