Nice and cozy restaurant. Very good food and service. They were short on staff but they did a very good job. Got fish and stake and the food was excellent. Highly recommend

I went to the restaurant with family. The Brevik town is pretty, with the old town located at a small island, which is connected to the other part of city with a small bridge. The restaurant is well decorated, has good overview of the bridge...and the harbor. The pizzas tasted well and crispy.More

Pluss sides: -very nice location with nice view! -friendly staff -good food -options to choose from where to sit, we chose the balcony. -Really the only place in the whole area where there are good reviews about! Says alot about the place. Negative sides: -hard...to find a parking spot, but there’s one in front of it. (on the sea side). I called to ask about reservation just a few minutes before going and the young lady answering the phone didn’t know if there was a place to park nearby! -This lady didn’t even know if we needed a reservation or could just drop in. Kind of a basic question to be able to answer! -took a little time to get food, but we didn’t mind waiting. -a little too pricey -hated that we didn’t recieve tissue paper with the starters -probably covid restrictions, but no salt or pepper or other dressings on the tables, instead they had added the food way too much salt and added tomato sauce/bbq to the pizza, which my mother didn’t enjoy at all. We could really be asked! Yes I would go back because 1: no other options, 2: very okay food.More

So... we're back. The last visit, about the same time last year, was great. With high expectations we returned, sure of another great experience. We, 4 adults and 3 kids, were seated immediately at the reserved table. I think we waited about 15 minutes before...we were given the menu and asked for drinks. It took another 30 minutes before they took our order. The startes were ok, but the main course were served individually, with 10-15 minutes between the first and last person in the group was served. The ducks was overcooked (well done+) and the fish was served with cold and bulky sauce. The meat, fishsoup and pizza was ok. The dessert, Chokolate Fondant, was perfectly made and served, and tasted really good. Sorry Sjøloftet, this was a very disappointing experience. The service was way below standard, and the food wasn't anywhere near what you expect with such a menu and prices. And no - you weren't even fully booked this evening - there were more empty than taken seats...More

We've been here many times. They have one of the best pizzas in the area and a great location in Brevik. The restaurant was very busy, and we were not able to book a table over the phone. But we showed up and were rather...quickly given a table. Instead of the pizza we tried the mussels. The mussels were great, the chips godd, but the focaccia wasn't very good. Didn't taste like it was made that day, and didn't really need it either. But the mussels made up for it. The service was good even though they were very busy.More

They served cold spareribs with warm french fries. When I made the nice waitress aware she kindly warmed the meat in the micro, but by the time she got the plate back the fries where could and soggy. My wife’s burger was not warm either,...but at least it wasn’t cold. If you go there you should probably go for the pizza or the door.More

Down in the harbour in the middle of Brevik you find Sjøloftet. This is a cozy restaurant situated in the harbour, and you can look at the sea and the boat while eating your food. My second visit to this restaurant, and I will be...back for more 😊 SPECIAL STEAK OFFER Every Wednesday you can enjoy a tasty grilled tenderloin steak for only 279, - This is something you have to try, it’s the most tender beef I have ever had.More

Every Wednesday the restaurant has what they call «Wednesday steak», and they then serv a nice big steak to a very pleasant price.i had my steak with baked potatoe and pepper sauce, and this is one of the most tender steak I have ever had....My colleagues that have eaten there several time, claims that it has been this tender every time they have been there. I really recconmend a visit to this cozy restaurant if you are in the area.More

We dined here twice in a three day stay in the area. Great waterfront location. Fish soup had a load of fresh seafood. Medium pizza was a meal for two. Not Michelin star quality but top notch for a small town.

I am a pretty tolerant guy. I do understand local twists on time proven classics. Poor execution is sadly one of the things I find hard to forgive. With a 45 minute wait for food in a nearly empty restaurant, I expect excellence, this was...not even close. The food looked good and the plating was decent. However sticking a fork in one of the cod pieces revealed a serious flaw. What was supposed to be a hot, crispy embrace covering the fish fillet, could best be described as a soggy sleeping bag of dough clinging to the fish. Apparently this is how they do fish and chips here according to the waiter. The fish itself was tasty, but the soggy sleeping bag tasted like the uncooked batter it was. Please rename the dish to soggy cod (or whatever white fish you use.More

2 families. Kids. Wifes. Men. Needless to say... a variety of wishes! Fast service. Absolutely great food, well and correctly cooked. Great wine-recommandation. If you're unknown to Brevik - Sjøloftet has a great scenerie and location with a perfect view to 'downtown Brevik'. Recommended!

The restaurant is located in a very nice small harbor. You can find parking lots closed by, however there are not so many. The staff is very kind and the restaurant is very nice with the possibility to dine also facing the harbor. The food...is very good and prepared with high quality.More

Delicious food and good service in this pretty place with a terrace on the water, overlooking the pittoresk marina (and not to forget a kiosk selling icecream to enjoy by the waterside). Good variation in food from a la carte to pizza. Definitely recommendable!

Stopped here on the way home from a big exercise in Telemark. Four large pizzas were just the thing for us. The one with the BBQ sauce was really good. Think we surprised the staff a bit when 10 of us turned up.
