The advertised prices are wrong. I got chicken tenders, advertised priced was $6.99, I was charged $10.99. Perch dinner was advertised at $17.99, we were charged $27.99. Bill was $42 for chicken tenders and perch dinner. Ridiculous.

After an hour of waiting for our food without the offer of a refill on our beverages from our server, the manager was defensive and rude when we asked for our check and for our food order to be cancelled. Other tables and take-out orders who came in after we ordered were served while we waited for a relatively simple order of nachos and quesadillas. My family, friends, and I have come here a few times each summer for almost 20 years, and, unfortunately, we rarely experience prompt, polite service. We’ve tried to overlook this, however, the unfriendly response of management to the issue is uncalled for - a simple polite response would have done wonders to improve the experience and kept us coming back, regardless of slow service.

This is a typical road house nothing more. But the service was friendly even if a little slow but I think they are having staffing issues due to Covid. Prices kinda on the high side for what you get. Good perch and walleye, I assume it was local.

When you stop, you may ask...why here? When you finish your meal, you have saved this spot for your next visit. This place is an out of the way seafood spot with good prices. If you like fresh perch...stop. If you like battered asparagus...stop. You like good sirloin...stop. While the salad bar leaves a lot to be desired, the main meal more than makes up for it. The dishes are hot, fresh and tasty.

The food at Stony Lake Inn is very good. As we were staying nearby we visited no fewer than three times on our stay. Someone always got either perch or walleye and you can't go wrong with either. One complaint is the portion sizes varied significantly. I ordered the walleye dinner one night and got only three small pieces. On our next visit my wife ordered it and got two huge filets. At $20+ dollars you should always feel confident in getting good portions. The baked apples are a real treat too. Service is spotty due to staffing shortages and lots of customers. That seems to be true of nearly anywhere in the summer of '21.

After stopping at the Cherry Pointe Market for their streusel, we asked if they still had the deep fried asparagus. They didn’t and sent us down the road to the Inn. What a wonderful thing to do because we had no idea about this quaint place. Leslie the bartender served us up their “Famous Battered” asparagus. The taste is all in the batter as opposed to a typical deep fry. Thank you Leslie for an enjoyable time. When we come back next summer, we will be by again and for dinner too.

My only complaint is they close the kitchen at 10 Used to be 11. They said the cooks are overwhelmed. WHAT?

I'm over 65 years old and I like hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy. I just today had the best one I've ever had at Stoney Lake Inn. Perfecty! i'll be back for more.

So if you have read any of my other reviews you may have caught on that I love Perch, Walleye and Blue Gill. We visited midweek at dinner. Only the lounge was open but they serve their regular menu in both the lounge and dining room. We had the Perch and Walleye dinners. Both were delicious. Will definitely be back. Service was quick and friendly. Free parking out front. Casual atmosphere. Inexpensive wines by the glass. They must be doing something right they have been open since 1935.

I went with family on a Friday night. The entire dining room was full but a table opened up and we grabbed it. We waited 30 minutes before a waitress finally approached our table and we placed both our drink order and our meal order at that time. We went to the salad bar and got some food and our drinks came about 20 minutes later (delivered by a guy from the bar). We then waited for 90 minutes for our meal and never once did our waitress come by to check on us. We grabbed another waitress at one point and talked to her and we saw her talking to our waitress across the room but that didn’t result in any service or a visit to our table. Finally, 3 of the 5 meals were delivered but were lukewarm. We waited another 5 minutes for the other 2 meals which were hot. I asked to talk to the owner and he came over. We explained what happened and he said some of his waitstaff called in sick and one of his waitresses had a “meltdown “ and messed up some orders in the kitchen (ours obviously). I asked why he didn’t limit his seating if he knew he couldn’t effectively wait on as many tables but he didn’t seem to want to consider anything he could have done to avert this disaster (other tables were experiencing the same issues). If the same things happen to him in a few weeks, he will have learned nothing. He asked if the perch was good and said he hoped it was worth the wait. Nothing would have been worth that wait.

Sunday evening with my daughter and grand children. We were seated immediately, however no one came to take our beverage order or bring us water for at least 15 minutes when the bar tender finally noticed we were looking agitated. It took another unusually long time for them to actually bring the drinks once we ordered. The evening didn't improve as we were not served our meal for a total 90 minutes from when we arrived. No one explained why there was a delay. When served I asked why. Nothing professional, an argument in the kitchen was the answer. Not a great experience!

We visit family in the area every summer and try to stop by this place. The fish is good and they have a nice little salad bar. The waitstaff was completely inadequate tonight. Only two servers for the dining room and bar

After visiting the Lavender Labyrinth just down the road on a Sunday afternoon and stopped in for lunch with family. The fried Lake Perch sandwich was a hit with all 4 diners. Though not very busy early in the afternoon, service was pleasant and the sandwiches delivered quickly. A small offering of draft beer and bottle beer and wine is available. Will return again when in the area when wanting fresh Lake Perch.

Visiting some family in the area just calls for a scrumptious dinner at Stony Lake Inn. (That and the whole town of Silver Lake being boarded up - eery!) I ordered the Rib Eye and a side of fresh lake water perch. OMG! The steak was tender, cooked perfect and "to die for" Adding on the Perch just made the whole meal better. Worth the drive from just about anywhere.
