Great burgers, great cauliflower tots and a prime spot next to a park where you can watch the freighters go past.

We were referred to Clyde's by a young lady who had visited her grandparents here and by her husband, a chef. This is your old fashioned drive in and as we drove in, the parking lot was packed! The young girl came out to the car and took our order. She would have brought our meal to the car and... More

If you are in the eastern UP, it's worth the trip just east of Sault Ste Marie, MI to this drive-in diner. Situated adjacent to the dock for the Sugar Island Ferry, you get great 'car hop' or 'walk up' service (no seating), great, juicy, well-prepared CUSTOM burgers, as well as fish, fries, etc. Family enjoyed the milkshakes, too! Just... More

I read a lot of restaurant reviews prior to going. Everyone said that Clyde's is a must stop in the area. They were right the food was great and the service was excellent. We ordered Buffalo Burgers and a Jolly Rancher shake. I will definitely be stopping there again!

Since we were at the waterfront we decided to drive to Clyde's which was recommended at our hotel. It was quick and fun. We ate inside at the counter instead of using the carhop service. Our burgers and fries were very tasty and our shakes super thick. Service was quick and friendly. While there we saw a barge loading cars... More

Friendly kids, down to earth food, great Buffalo burger. Great view, carryout to the ship watching area easy to do. Not a health food location, just good food at a reasonable price.

We always make it a priority to walk to Clyde's from the campground (Aune Osborn) for a fantastic burger whenever we're at "the Soo." You can order/eat at your car, or go inside and sit at the counter (maybe 10-12 seats), or at the picnic tables outside. We usually eat outside, but it was quite windy when we were there... More

Harken back to the "old days" when you went to the drive in diner for a burger and milkshake ... you've still got it when you go to Clyde's !! Definitely be careful what you ask for if you ask for their biggest burger ... might last you for several days ... it's that big !! Burgers are wonderful as... More

Clyde's is like the drive ins you used to visit as a kid. They have carhop service after 11:00 a.m. A really friendly carhop comes to your car and takes your order, then in a short tie brings you the old fashioned tray with you food on it, that hangs from you car window. Inside there is a lunch counter... More
