We ate at Pumpernickel's both mornings. It was a short walk from our room at the Bella Vita Spa & Suites. Not a big menu, but still good choices. Everything homemade. I had the "frenchies" french toast with bananas and walnuts the first day, then the Big Benny eggs benedict he next. Both were amazing! Hubby had a breakfast Monte... More

Food mediocre. Bread dry , very little tuna inside. Friends had eggs not the best. Inside dining area nice, clean n staff quick to remove dishes. Only 2 tables outdoors. Not what I expected from others recommended from past visit.

Our family had a party of 12 and there was plenty of room for all of us to eat together upstairs. We all ordered Breakfast and everyone's order was perfect and delicious!!!!

We tried this restaurant because it is dog friendly. There are two tables outside where dogs are allowed. I'd noticed it was ranked #5 on TA so thought it was worth a shot, and dog friendly establishments can be hard to find. I didn't read about the set up on TA, so looking a bit lost, I decided to check... More

The cinnamon roll is a must order. I was first in line before the café opened as the cinnamon rolls can go quickly. These rolls have the perfect consistency and do not disappoint.

I'll start my review by suggesting you go to Ida Red's or Grow instead. I know there aren't a lot of breakfast places in Saugatuck and I was really hoping to add one to our repertoire but we will never go back to Pumpernickel's. It's too bad. The place is cute and I love the screened in patio seating but... More

The food here used to be awesome. But the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. It's ok but not what it used to be.

Traditional and nontraditional menu options. Easy to find something on the menu to please all kinds of eaters. Extremely casual; extremely pleasant almost picnic-like venue.

We went for Saturday morning brunch. Food was good but a bit pricey. The signature cinnamon roll lived up to its reputation, as did the cheesy potatoes. But, we were disappointed at the "Pure Michigan" omelette due to undercooked leeks, which were stringy and inedible. The bloody mary bar was a bit underwhelming and overpriced as well. Liked the live... More

We had a lovely lunch on the screened in patio at Pumpernickel's over the weekend. We came late (close to lunch closing) and had a big party, but the staff was so nice and accommodating. The food was good - fast, casual with sandwiches, salads and amazing looking hamburgers. The food came out quickly, tasted great and the portion size... More
