Nice location, nice view of water. However, it seemed like we were not really wanted when 4 of us came in for lunch (We were not being obnoxious or anything). Seems like they just didn't care if we were there. We has a drink and left instead of eating lunch.

We were told while in Saugatuck we had to visit this historic restaurant on Lake Kalamazoo. After a 25 minute wait, (the people do keep pouring in) we were seated by a window overlooking the boardwalk/lake. Service was nothing extraordinary. We both got the "famous"burgers---my Butler Burger ($9.95) tasted mostly of grilling; the ham and cheese were basically tasteless. Your... More

When in Sagatuck, it is a definite must to dine by the water. We had not received any recommendations for this restaurant. So, we took a chance because they have a large deck for dining which was quite inviting. Inside the restaurant the decor is rather dated. However, the view outside is beautiful. Some of the menu options were different... More

My good friend swears that the Butler Olive Burger is tops in Western Michigan! Large areas accommodate groups or singles, indoors or out. Located in the old hotel (originally saw mill) and named for early Saugatuck founding father, Wm G. Butler. This popular eating establishment is open year round!

A group of 5 of us at dinner here on a nice autumn Friday evening. We walked in and waited a very long time before anyone acknowledged us and when someone from the bar did come over, he was rude. He told us we would have to wait, then immediately seated a couple that had just walked in. It was... More

This restaurant has been in Saugatuck forever it seems. Their burgers are great! At this visit, three at at table ordered sizzlers and enjoyed them. Not being much of a steak eater, I ordered the chicken quesadilla. What a mistake! It was only half full of ingredients at best and pretty dry. Disappointed.

The burgers are very good, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Butler fries were a bit disappointing! Good service but not great.

Like the Butler. Good food, good service. Ask for a window seat to see the sunset and water. Great place to meet up with friends

An historic building overlooking the marina. Nice ambiance. The Creamy Crab Chowder was the highlight of the meal. I should have purchased their cookbook so I could make this at home. The Walleye was very good, perfectly pan-fried. It was enough to share too. A must eat place for my next visit.

Had a really nice lunch here overlooking the Saugatuck Boardwalk and boat harbor. Shared a delicious burger.
