We sat outside on the deck for lunch, which has a more limited menu than the restaurant inside. The food was okay, nothing special. Good location and good people watching but nothing special restaurant-wise. I'm honestly starting to wonder if there's good food in Saugatuck because we haven't found any.

We always enjoy coming to the Butler for lunch on the water. Every thing we've ordered over the years has been good, and we especially like the burgers. The outdoor patio seating is the best, but inside works well if it is too hot or rainy during the summer. We have boated to Saugatuck often over the years, and the... More

We had a great experience at The Butler! Service was prompt and friendly and the scenery and ambiance was great. The menu had lots to choose from but the namesake Butler Burger is a must try! This was a great dining experience for our family of four!

He had beer batter fish and chips and was disappointed in size of fish portion. Their "Butler Fries" are potato medallions, not french fries and were quite dry. I had Chardonnay chicken pasta. The meal was tasty, but it was not even hot when it arrived. I sent it back and it was returned moments later, obviously reheated, not a... More

We chose this place because it had pretty views and was outside. I've never given a "terrible" for a review but while the atmosphere was nice the food was terrible. We had 8 in our party and sat at 2 tables which was fine. About half ordered iced tea to drink - it could have been rust water for all... More

Ate here on a Saturday night while on vacation in Saugatuck and it was packed. We sat at the bar on the deck while we waited for a table inside. There was a live band outside which was nice entertainment. The bartenders were decent outside. The hostess inside told us at least an hour up to an hour and a... More

We really enjoyed dinner at the Butler. The waitstaff and bartenders are wonderful and you see the owner walking around asking people how they enjoyed their meal and also helping to bus tables, not seen at many places, but it's what made it special for us. We had the ruben and the walleye for mains, both of which were flavorful... More

Ate lunch here, the four of us. A turkey reuben with a hint of sauerkraut and a turkey flew near the sandwich. Soup out of a can and chicken sandwich with no taste. The surly waitress did not help make our dining experience even close to pleasant. Eat elsewher.

My wife and I drove up to Saugatuck for the day, and had lunch at The Butler, which was on the water. The view was excellent, and so was our waitress. I ordered a Turkey Ruben (sour kraut, not coleslaw). This sandwhich is advertised as "A Butler Classic." The meat was skimpy, and was mostly piled on one side of... More

After a two hour drive from Northwest Indiana, my wife and I decided to have a bite to eat before walking the streets of Saugatuck so we opted for the dinning on the deck at The Butler. We were seated immediately and ordered drinks and food. My wife ordered the Cherry Chicken Salad ($13.50) which according to her was the... More
