This bar is not trendy, takes no credit card and yet is enjoyable. You can get a pint of Foster's Draft for $2 or a pitcher for $6.

The Sand Bar is always our first stop when we arrive in Saugatuck. The Bartenders are friendly and they make a perfect Bloody Mary. Saugatuck Brewery Oval Beach Blond on tap, is a great choice. We miss seeing Kathy the bartender on the weekends. The bands on Saturday nights are worth stopping in for.

Stopped in on pouring rain Halloween early afternoon. Gotta like a place that has Bells on draft and in pitchers. Good selection of spirits and Bloody Mary. Sat at front table overlooking street which provided for plenty of fun and way to greet fellow patrons as they came in front door. Do need some better selection on jukebox and wouldn't... More

Exactly the place for a pitcher of beer and a game of pool. Or people watching. Obviously a locals place. Everyone speaking to everyone. Popcorn, gyros and hot dogs on the menu. Good music, good drinks, a table full of friends and a bowl of popcorn. What more do you want?

Doesn't have any decent wines, but if you want great live music this is the place to be on a Saturday night.

The Sand Bar is definitely the friendliest bar in town as advertised. It's a very comfortable environment with friendly bartenders. I miss seeing Kathey since she now only works during he week.

quiet place but that's what we were looking for, mostly locals, bar tender not thrilled w/ serving tourists, cash only, inexpensive drinks, they sell beer to go in 6 packs (awesome because there are no convenience stores in the tourist zone), duct tape patched seats and old dingy atmosphere, just eh

This is another place we enjoy walking to to get in out of the days heat. We love to sit and relax and enjoy friends and family in conversation, and to enjoy or favorite drink.
