The Big "C" Burger - 3/4 pound with cheese & everything aka the kitchen slider as we call it. Make sure when you order your burgers that you tell them what you want on it or you will get just meat, lettuce & tomato. Fabulous lunch! Burger, fries, chocolate milkshake & a pop.
Price range per person averages $20.
âś… Make sure to tip well. They work their butts off!
A true drive-in restaurant. Rack sits on your window just like the 'ol days.

Stopped here for diner on our first night in town for the weekend. This a drive-in where the waitstaff comes to your vehicle to get your order and then brings the food to you. I ordered the olive burger basket with onion rings and my wife ordered the fish basket with fries. Food came out in a timely matter and it was very good. One thing to know is that they only take cash for payment.

We went here for lunch after crossing the mackinac bridge. We were able to pull right in with no wait for a spot. There were people inside and others taking their food to go. Our waitress came quickly, took our order, and we didn't wait long. Food was brought out on a tray type thing that hooked to your window. Burgers were large and tasty. Onion rings portion was small and not hot enough. Cool place you don't see around anymore. We did drive across the road after to the park to see the bridge.

Social media has pumped this place up into something it's not, like it's a must eat at place when in the area. Quoted 30 minutes for our order actual time 55 minutes! Fries and onion rings were cold, burger had no flavor whatsoever. They include 20% tip if order is over $75... $90 for 4 hamburgers/fries/drink. Didn't even splurge for cheese. Ridiculous. Don't fall into the trap we did, very mediocre food.

Disappointing service the Friday night we stopped here. Lobby to order is closed and unlike a true drive in, you can’t order from your car. Instead, you have to order by calling.
Admittedly, the Friday night we were there, it was packed. Placed a call ahead order and was told 10-15 minutes. Arrived at appointed time, called, and was told they would bring it out when it was ready. Waited and waited. Finally, food came out 20 minutes after I got there, which meant a 35 minutes wait for a burger and chicken fingers.
Burger was good and definitely a step up from a fast food burger but not as good as going to a restaurant. Just not worth it when you add in the wait.
Cash only. Located just west of St Ignace off of US 2, by all of the other fast food restaurants and gas stations.

Upon driving up we could not see menu because it was up high. We ordered hamburgers, milk shake and fried mushrooms.
The hamburgers were probably the best I have ever eaten at a restaurant. Extra large and juicy. The milk shake was good The mushrooms were good but $5.25 was a bit pricey for them.

What an experience. I actually started to walk in and then noticed that it's a real drive-in and hopped back in my car. The nicest young lady in braids came and took my order. I wish I had asked her name. The food came out very fast and the onion rings were some of the best I've ever tasted. The fresh coleslaw and tasty chicken tenders just made it. What a hidden gem. You must visit!

Not enough help. Doesn’t accept bank or credit cards. We had heard great things about Clydes . This is the first time in years we spent anytime over the bridge in St Ignace. When we first got there we spent over 10 minutes waiting and nobody came to help us . Then we saw a sign that said “No debit or credit cards” After just being down the road at the Mystery Spot and Deer Ranch we were low on money, so we left. It is 2024. Who uses cash? Kids were very disappointed.

When we arrived, we found one remaining drive in spot. The server announced that we would wait 45 minutes “if we stayed”. Given the reviews, we were going to wait for sure. We asked what the best thing on the menu was and she confirmed the burgers. We ordered the cheeseburgers/fries, as well as a grilled cheese, a whitefish sandwich, and breaded cauliflower. Server was nice, atmosphere is what we came for (visited on a Sunday), and decor was fun also. Unfortunately an average cheeseburger. Breaded cauliflower was the highlight.

Menu is a lot more than just burgers, but how can you pass up the best burgers in the region??
Very friendly waitress/“Car hop”.
It’s the old drive in style restaurant. Small picnic area on the side but we chose to take our meals to the Bridge View park across the street and down the hill. Prices are still very reasonable with everything else in the country going crazy.
One thing, they don’t take Debit/credit cards. Cash only. They did point out an ATM that’s right next door,to customers.
Food is Excellent- Price Excellent- Service Excellent

We visited Clyde’s for dinner after a long walk/full day on Mackinac Island. Old fashioned, order from your car burger place. Get one with the works. Burgers are fresh and juicy and YUM! We also had fried cauliflower, fried mushrooms and onion rings. All great! Our best eats in St. Ignace so far.

The food was good and the service is very friendly but it took a really long time to get our food. And our waitress put it in bags instead of on trays that we asked for. With tip it was expensive for what it was. I'm glad we did it but we would have been fine if we didn't do it.
My daughter did say it was the best shake she'd ever had.

We were looking for a place to eat during our trip and found Clyde's doing a Google search. The menu was impressive with something for every taste. We were an hour away and decided that Clyde's was going to be our stop for lunch. When we arrived the parking lot was full and there were trucks with trailers parked everywhere. That's a pretty good indication of a popular place to eat. After two trips around the parking lot we found a place to park. The carhop told us there would a wait of 45 minutes because they were so busy. We decided to order and wait. We were not disappointed. The Clyde Burger was delicious and took two hands to eat The fried green beans, onion rings and french fries were a nice compliment to the burgers that we ordered. We will definitely stop the next time we are driving through the Upper Peninsula.

This place was suggested by many so we stopped on our way home. First this place is busy and yet they handled it well. We decided to eat inside at the small indoor seating, which is quite congested with pickup orders and people placing orders going on all around you. The staff handles very well and still keeps in touch with you all along. They are know for the food they serve and it showed. I had a 1/2 pounder and fries, the 3/4 is what they are known for but too much for me . My gf had the whitefish sandwich and onion rings. Both of us left happy and full. Enjoy

Clyde’s is a cool little old-time drive-up diner. They have great burgers, fries, onion rings and other great food. We pulled up in our truck and enjoyed a front row seat, watching as they very quickly made meals. They were slammed so it did take a while, but you could see the staff was busting their butts and still had smiles on their faces. My daughter was especially thrilled her kids’ meal came in a cute little box that resembles an old fashioned convertible. After we got our food, we drove across the street to the bridge view park and enjoyed our meals at a picnic table with a great view.
