My husband and I went there for lunch. The food was excellent! The service was poor at best. The waitress seemed preoccupied, and had little interest in providing any service. We waited a good 10-15 minutes for her to even come to the table to...greet us! If it were not for a pleasant bus boy we would have left. We got our soup, then waited a long a long time for our entree. She checked back with us once, and we asked for boxes. Meanwhile, we heard her complaining that we only ordered water to drink. We would have liked to order drinks after we finished eating, but she never came back. We waited and waited. We finally asked another waitress for boxes and our bill. The waitress then showed up..no apology. We did not feel valued as customers by this waitress! The bus boy, went above and beyond! He even brought out my sunglasses that I left. We have always been very pleased with the service and food. This time was a BIG disappointment when it came to service provided.More

We stopped there on a Sunday afternoon in anticipation of a good local fish dinner. One of the specials, Salmon Oscar was not as stated on the menu. The asparagus & salmon were cooked fine, but the hollandaise sauce was just like melted butter and...the crab meat was IMITATION! Really, I would have been ok if it had said that on the menu & would have selected something else. We also had the fried Pickerel (Walleye) which was okay, although the serving size was pretty small. My steamed broccoli was good & the rice pilaf was different but okay. My husband said his baked potato was not great. I do have to say their rolls were delicious and the clam chowder was good. I also have to complain that we were charged for 3 coffees and only had 2. I did not see the ticket until we got home and my husband cleaned out his billfold. It is plain to see we were only 2 guests on the ticket. I think we will try another fish dinner down the road while we are staying in the area next weekend.More

Always a good place to eat. Seated quickly, service very quick and pleasant. Lunch entrees were big, great value. However, the calamari appetizer was not good. Looked nice, but was bland, little flavor. Disappointed in this, but the rest was really good. Will go back,...but not for calamari!More

We had a wonderful dinner here. The river views are amazing, and we really enjoyed watching the boats and a couple of freighters go by. The whole restaurant has large picture windows, so there are great views from everywhere. There is also a nice patio...for outdoor seating. There is a boardwalk along the river there that we enjoyed for a nice relaxing scenic walk after dinner. Adjoining is a large beautiful park and there are lots of benches available along the boardwalk for sitting and enjoying the water view. The food was delicious. We started with pickerel fingers for an appetizer. They were tasty, and not at all heavy even though fried. 2 in our party had shrimp tortellini for the entree (it was a special Shrimp Fest menu item) and I had the perch dinner. The others raved about the shrimp tortellini, and I thought the perch was really good, and again, amazingly light even though it was fried. We all enjoyed the hot rolls, as well as the homemade clam chowder and French onion soup. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the rice pilaf, which had a bit of an odd flavor. Nothing too bad; I'd just order a different side next time. Our server Sandy was friendly and attentive. We feel like we discovered a real gem and we will definitely be back.More

This is a great place to watch the boats go by. Right on the river they also have a bowling alley! Food is generally good

I decided to have lunch here and was seated immediately. The waitress brought a bread basket with freshly baked rolls and butterr. She was friendly and very efficient. I ordered the open faced steak sandwich (medium) which came with fries. The steak was too well...done but it was tasty. I didn't have time to reorder.More

Seated in a fast minute outdoors as requested. We both had perch for lunch that was really tasty. Service was excellent. Great food and ambiance. Love watching the freighters pass!

We hadn't visited for over a year, due to a disappointing prior visit. Decided to give this well-located waterside restaurant another try, and we're so glad we did! The new-to-us patio had pretty views of the water, and a new lunch menu offered better value....We had the perch (deep fried) and it was very good. Service was great and the portions were generous for the price. We both were so glad we gave The Voyageur another try!More
