I love Tokyo Sushi......I had the special "Bomber Roll" that had a spicy mayo/jalapeno peppers w/tuna. It is was yummy, the waitress was sweet and my food came out in an appropriate amount of time. I will go back. Actually been a customer of their's...since they opened there 1st restaurant in Troy, MI some 20 years ago. Richard and Chris are the sushi expert owners of these restaurants.
Nothing special place within walking distance of Royal Oak Music Theater. Small with most basic of seating and little ambience.
Started by ordering the (chicken) Satay for an appetizer. Told they were out of it, but the waitress recommended the teriyaki skewers, and we agreed....We never did get our appetizer, but the waitress owned the mistake and removed it from our bill without asking.
I ordered the Crazy Noodles with beef, and my husband ordered the Pineapple Pad Thai. They did not have pea pods, which were supposed to be in the Crazy Noodles, but did offer me a choice of a different vegie. Both were quite tasty and flavorful.
We were with two other couples for dinner, and it took at least an hour for our entrees to arrive. Entrees appeared to be prepared - and were delivered to our table - one at a time, with the final dish arriving 15-20 minutes after the first.
Glad we had Entertainment Book coupons.More
They have all sorts of cool named sushi rolls, very good quality too. I recommend going if going to Noble Fish is too far for you. I like the coziness of the place, it's not fancy, but neither is Noble Fish.
I haven't been there for a number of months but this is a great little restaurant in downtown Royal Oak! I have loved all of the food I have gotten here, but my favorites are the ginger salad, Spicy California Rolls, and Edamame!! I think...it's family owned? Great place!More
This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is cozy, the staff is friendly, and it serves, to this day, the best sushi I have ever had. There are fabulous hot dishes as well. I have taken friends from NY City and they agree, it...is the best. The prices are really reasonable. Sunset roll is my favorite!More
