Had a burger and frys with some friends a few weeks ago and the burger was not great maybe so so but the frys and onion rings were soaked in oil I think before serving this is not my first visit, and I always thought this place had one of the best burgers around so I guess like any were... More

Delicious English style fish and chips (a long time staple). This restaurant/lounge has been in business many years

Been going here for years. The place has good burgers. Sides are usually pretty good, too. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the wait is way too long- I guess that's a sign of good food.

This place is known for its great big hamburgers but there Ruben sandwich is the best I've had . There Cole slaw is awesome and I don't even like Cole slaw lol but they cut it real small it's great . Sometimes long wait but worth it or just go early .

A colleague and I ate Piedmont burgers and french fries which were excellent. However, once we sat down and ordered, the food took an extraordinary long time to come to the table. Probably half an hour. I understand that the restaurant was full and there was a wait but there really is no excuse for that long a time for... More

If you haven't been to Red Coat Tavern...well. where have you been? They use one of the best types of meats: Piedmont. They do get pretty crowded on weekends so plan accordingly.

I ate here as a kid and now as an adult about 30 years later and still amazing. I love the pub atmosphere. Excellent service.

Good burgers but the place was extremely loud which made it difficult to carry on a conversation across the table.

BEst burger I have had in a very long time. You add the extra's to your basic dressed burger to your liking. onion rings are so good. WIsh I could eat them everyday.

We stopped by here after we visited the Detroit Zoo (only 2-3 miles north on Woodward). The food was excellent, even though the fries and onion rings were very salty. The service was just average. No major complaints but it took a while until our waiter showed up. Our drinks were never refilled or checked if food was ok. The... More
